3 Rustic, enjoyable and personal (Deirdre)This was a simple but real life tour of a family owned and run winery. The host’s English was difficult to understand at times but we still enjoyed the tour, his friendliness, and learning about the winery! The location and the surroundings were scenic but simple. The wine was very good and we were able to enjoy 4 different wines and were offered seconds if we desired! Compared to other wineries, it seemed a little more expensive. But I would still recommend visiting!

5 Great experience! (Alessandro)We are very happy to have found tenuta l’Apparita ! A very small and independent wine producer with a special attention to his wine. We loved the Vigna and Cantina visit and of course the tasting itself. Francesca is very knowledgeable about the wine and the process and you can feel she cares a lot about the product and the Chianti territory. She proposed a tasting of the same wine but different vintage and it was really interesting to see how much the wine can change in one year only. We truly recommend to visit this small producer and to taste his excellent San Giovese wine.

5 VILLA MANGIACANE (Yossi)Villa Mangiacane was the first winery to visit during our trip to Tuscany. It was a great place with a great host. Most importantly, great wine. We got a good tour and bought several bottles. This is a place we would visit again, tell our friends and family, and buy more wines from.

5 Incredible experience, beautiful views, delicious wine, friendly service & we got a private tour ! (Jodi)We loved our time at Castello Sonnino! The wine tasting was sooo good - the wines were delicious and the servings were generous. We also got served lovely bruschetta - with their own olive oil and toppings - which were unexpected. The outside area is STUNNING and I recommend sitting out there. When we arrived it was only set up for us and one other table so we had a very calm, private, and special experience. Our server's knowledge and passion for their wines was obvious, and we felt very taken care of. Our wine tasting included a tour of the cellars and we we super lucky as we were the only booking - so we went on a private tour and got to learn so much about the history of the property (like centuries of history!!). Really enjoyed this place. The view was such a shift from being in Florence (where we came from). We also took a bus which was only around an hour long and a short walk from the location. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone wanting a Tuscan wine experience and to see something different than the city. This day is one of our most loved memories from our trip.

5 Amazing tasting and beautiful winery (Joshua)Amazing tasting experience at a very small but beautiful vineyard. Everything was explained to us really well and we got to go through all the finer details of how they operate and do the Vendemmia each year. The wine we tasted was beautiful, it is a really well balanced wine and is not like your typical Chianti Classico which we appreciated as it was really hot.

5 Absolutely Amazing (Scott)Had a great time, and was one of the more memorable, and enjoyable parts of my vacation. The winery wasn't over crowded, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The vineyard itself is gorgeous, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The chianti was great of course... I was worried about getting back to Florence at first, but the staff ordered us a taxi back. I will be back some day, and I can't wait.

5 Excellent wine tasting experience (Sandra)We arrived a little late and we missed the tour of the grounds, but we easily joined the small group in the underground wine and olive oil caves. Giovanni was an excellent host He was friendly and informative. We enjoyed several wines, a small cheese & meat board as well as their delicious olive oil with fresh bread for dipping. 5 Wonderful wine experience (Ginette)We were staying in Montespertoli and chose to prebook our tour at this vineyard after reading previous reviews. Alessandro gave a us a tour of the small family vineyard with its olive trees and vines, and then we went in for a beautiful lunch of local cold meats, pecorrino cheese and bruschetta, all accompanied by the full range of wine and oil tastings. We met the whole family during our long lunch, the wine explanations were really detailed, and the tastings generous. A special treat was the homemade biscotti with our dessert wine. All around a super personal experience which was the highlight of our trip to the region.

5 Amazing and Memorable Experience (Norhan)We had such an amazing experience at the Castle Sonnino wine tasting. We opted for the Tasting and Lunch option, which gave us a fantastic selection of local foods and an (very filling) lunch, accompanied with some gorgeous wines (we 1 white, 2 reds and a dessert wine), and our sommelier Edouardo was so helpful and answered all our questions regarding the wine. Our lunch was followed by a tour, where we got to see the beautiful view of the vineyards and were taken around the cellars where we were informed about all the wines in production there and the history. This was an incredible value for money and would definitely recommend. We had such a great time, and we wanted to thank the Sonnino family and Edouardo for making the experience!

5 Fattoria Montereggi - Off the beaten track (Dean)A great opportunity to see how small batch wine is made in the area. The farm has a rustic feel and the hosts are friendly and authentic. The wines and olive oil are excellent and cellar door very reasonably priced. Spend an hour or two here away from the tourist crowds of Florence and get a feel for everyday life in the tuscan countryside.
