AZIENDA AGRICOLA NOVAIA

Winery in Valpolicella, Amarone, Valpolicella Classica

About the Winery

The organic farm NOVAIA is located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, on a soft and sunny hill, in one of the most suggestive areas of the Marano Valley, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, cherry trees, and ancient stone walls. In Marano, from the 19th century to the present day, the Vaona family has cultivated its lands and passed on the ancient winemaking tradition of fine classic wines: Valpolicella, Ripasso, Recioto, and Amarone. Here, the hilly vineyards (250-400 meters above sea level) and the marly-calcareous soils, interspersed with volcanic and tuffaceous layers, with low fertility, favor the native varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, Turchetta and Molinara. At Novaia the management is organic and eco-sustainable, for a healthy habitat rich in biodiversity, a fundamental heritage for the lands and wines of Novaia: wines with authentic, sapid, mineral, structured, elegant aromas, with a great identity and a deep bond with the territory. Visits to the company's cellars and vineyards allow customers to learn not only about the wines but also about the delicate process of grape picking and harvesting.

Great experience
The guide is very knowledgeable and good at explaining. Excellent wines… I particularly appreciated the Amarone. Considering the low cost compared to other wineries, it's really worth it!

An intimate atmosphere and quality wine
We were lucky because we found wonderful weather, even though it was mid-October. This allowed us to take a nice tour of the vineyards and then do the tasting on the terrace, enjoying a fantastic view. The wine is of excellent quality and the explanation was engaging and exhaustive, leaving room for curiosities and recommendations

Tasting
A wonderful experience, starting with the cultivation methods and subsequent production processes, then moving on to a magnificent tasting in the estate's inner courtyard with a view of the valley.

VERY GOOD
Friendly, professional. Excellent wines. Varied discussion that ranged from wine technique to exportation with the new American tariffs
Maybe a few more little snacks to accompany the various glasses

Red Wine Galore!
We spent a very pleasant day, excellently crafted wines and very knowledgeable and friendly hosts! The visit to the underground cellar was also beautiful! We will be back in the summer!
The only drawback, no cured meats on the platter

Beautiful, good and interesting
We were welcomed very well. The young woman who accompanied us during the experience proved to be very helpful, precise and passionate. Obviously excellent wines!
It would have been nice and interesting to be able to see the current production sites, so as to have a reference to the contemporary and not just the historical.

Excellent experience
A more than positive experience!
We had a very good time, the owners are welcoming and very knowledgeable.
Small and lovely location with a beautiful view.
Excellent wines perfectly paired with the selected cheeses.
It was very interesting and educational to compare their wine with that of the guests who came from other regions.
I recommend this experience and thank you
