Tenute Gregu
About the Winery
The story of Tenute Gregu began in 2011 when Raffaele, together with his father and brother, embarked on this winemaking journey. The estate spans 50 hectares of land, of which 30 are vineyards. The primary focus is on producing Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, with 25 hectares dedicated to Vermentino and 5 hectares planted with red varieties, including native grapes like Cannonau, Carignano, and Muristellu, alongside international varieties such as Merlot and Syrah.
The vineyards are rooted in a decomposed granite terrain, enhanced by the presence of three lakes, which create a unique microclimate ideal for viticulture. The estate dedicates 90% of its efforts to fieldwork, with the remaining 10% focused on winemaking, fully respecting the natural characteristics of the land. The approach is to preserve the purity of the grapes and allow the terroir to shine through in each wine.
Tenute Gregu wines are distributed worldwide, and the estate continues to grow, guided by a commitment to quality. The wine tourism experience, known as the Tenute Gregu Experience, invites visitors to explore the estate and learn about the winemaking philosophy. Tastings, often held on a ridge overlooking one of the lakes, are accompanied by modern takes on locally sourced products, offering guests a memorable and immersive experience.
About the Wines
Tenute Gregu currently produces 8 distinct wine labels, all crafted from estate-grown grapes. The portfolio is divided into two lines: the classic line and the premium line.
Sirè: 100% Cannonau DOC rosé, (classic line) with a powdery color, a wine with the body of Cannonau yet fresh.
Rias: 100% Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, (classic line) bright yellow, produced from our youngest grapes, a fresh, easy-drinking wine that pairs well with everything and everyone.
Selenu: 100% Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Superiore, (classic line) straw yellow, made from our oldest vines, yielding less per hectare, and aged in stainless steel tanks for almost a year during which several battonages are performed.
Pitraia: 100% unique Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, (premium line) made from 100% grapes affected by noble rot, grown on a vein of pink granite, aged for 18 months in stainless steel tanks with long and frequent battonage.
Raighinas: 100% Cannonau DOC, (classic line) a fresh Cannonau that you can enjoy even on hot days, aged only in stainless steel to enhance all its aromas.
Animosu: 100% Cannonau DOC, (classic line) aged in second-use French oak barriques, this decision was made because we do not want to alter an exceptional product that nature has given us, hence the wood is used merely as a container.
Cala Granis: 100% Carignano, (premium line) a different Carignano, mostly produced in Sulcis but we produce it in Gallura, a wine that maintains the body of Carignano, yet fresh.
Greho's: Blend of Cannonau-Carignano-Muristellu-Merlot-Syrah, (premium line) equally divided 20-20-20-20-20, aged for 30 months in second-use French oak tonneaux. A mosaic, a blend whose essence and scent hark back to ancient aromas.

A beautiful gift for my birthday
Thank you so much for the beautiful day
Wonderful experience ❤️
Wonderful discovery
The road to reach the estate is very pleasant, among cork forests and vineyards, the landscape is truly evocative.
We were warmly welcomed by Marianna.
Excellent tasting with wines that encapsulate all the characteristics of this wonderful land, accompanied by tastings of quality typical products personally cooked by Marianna and presented with great care (not the usual platter!).
Finally the location, we had the pleasure of having this experience on a “terrace” overlooking a small lake surrounded by vineyards.
We thank you for welcoming us into your home, and for letting us taste the love and passion for this Sardinia that, beyond the stunning sea, hides so many other treasures!
Congratulations guys! We'll see you again soon.
