Here is what you will live

Do you love Barolo and you want to meet a family run winery? If YES is the answer, this is the tasting you were looking for. In 2017 our Borgogno family business celebrated 120 years of history and traditions. Our roots date back even further when, in the mid-nineteenth century, Cavalier Francesco Borgogno began producing his own wine, selling it in his wife’s small tavern in Barolo. This is where it all began and if you really want to discover the secrets of the Barolo you need to visit this Cannubi area.

Cannubi is probably one of the most complex and fascinating area cru Barolo and it's also one of the most historic vineyards of our territory. The name Cannubi was already present in some documents since 1700. The most ancient bottle found on Langhe hills had on its label “Cannubi 1752”.
These proves show the historical significance of Cannubi vineyard, already known as one of the most precious vineyards in that area. Producers and farmers at that time identified the toponym Cannubi with a small piece of land, from which they would produce valued and high quality grapes (even during hard times, eventually) that were then labeled as Cannubio and/or Cannubi

Are you ready to live a unique experience? With this tour  you will immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the Langhe: we will share with you our passion and our wines, to convey all the authenticity of our land. We have always strongly believed in welcoming people in our Cellar and this is the perfect way for you to deeply get in touch with our heritage.

The "Barolo Cannubi Tasting Experience" provides a taste of three Barolo Cannubi

- Barolo Cannubi 2014

-  Barolo Cannubi 2013

- Barolo Cannubi Reserve 2012

At the end of the tasting, we will visit the historic winery where you can admire the large oak barrels of Slavonian 25-50 HL used for ageing.

A full immersion in our Barolo tradition, to discover the secrets of this great wine.

Un ottima degustazione di vini. Personale gentilissimo e preparato. Il prezzo per l'assaggio dei vini prodotti è interessante e se acquistate alcune bottiglie la degustazione è omaggio. Merita veramente e merita andare con una nutrita compagnia alla fine ci si diverte anche.
