A tasting I will not forget
Everything was perfect, our guide, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, managed to make us perfectly enter the wonderful world of this land, the Oltrepò Pavese, a territory that is not valued enough despite being wonderful from every point of view.
The quality of the wines tasted was exceptional and the pairings were spot-on and of high quality.

A whole world to discover
We were in Testaccio, under Monte dei Cocci in this fantastic natural cellar at the beginning of June, on a day when it was really hot in Rome, but inside it was more or less 15 degrees.
We were welcomed with a big smile by Alessia who explained the history of the place and told us about the experience in great detail along with Vincenzo and Alfredo with great passion.
We tasted some true and rare food and wine excellences of the Lazio region, which included 3 glasses of wine and a platter of cured meats and cheeses.
All for a more than honest price given the quality and refinement of the offering.

Visit and tasting at Tenuta la Gatta
The visit first took place on the panoramic terrace overlooking the vast property, then continuing into the cellars with the barrique barrels.
The young woman who accompanied us proved to be extremely knowledgeable and offered us a perfect experience, discovering all those details that make Tenuta la Gatta one of a kind. For the tasting, we were offered 4 wines, one white and three reds. All of them truly excellent, with their peculiarities explained, and accompanied by an equally excellent platter of cured meats and cheeses.
All in all, the experience was completely satisfying!

Great experience
We were just the two of us and the tour was in German. The lady who showed us everything was very kind and helpful.
For the two of us there was plenty of food like local and special kinds of cheese, bread and meat and a sweet treat. It was more than a light meal ;p

Highlight of our trip
Our group had a wonderful visit to the winery, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
Although we had to adjust our schedule due to limited public transportation on a national holiday, the winery was easy to find and everything was arranged smoothly.
Our host was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the winery’s history and winemaking process. The guided tasting of four wines was both informative and enjoyable, and the combination of local history, expert insights, and excellent wines made the experience especially memorable.
The only downside was having to leave early to catch our return bus — otherwise, we would happily have stayed much longer.
Thank you for an outstanding tour and tasting experience. We highly recommend this winery to anyone looking for an authentic and engaging visit.
