Our guide Leonardo was great! Amazing wines and left with an understanding of Toscana and the wines that are bottled there. Enough time to our selves in each town to shop, get gelato, and see the sights. Great trip!

Mirko received us with a warmth and hospitality. He wanted to make sure we had no allergies or food intolerances so we wouldn’t get sick. Then we both got a big plate of cured meats, cheeses, bruschetta and olive oil and the tasting began. The explanation of the wines was that of a man who is passionate about his work and his products. And for each glass we got the time to taste is in combination with our food. After the tasting, Mirko showed us around his farm, explaining the processes of winemaking and olive making. We were very lucky to have a private experience, since there were no other bookings for this date and time. Mirko didn’t rush himself through the experience, but let us relax and answered all our questions. And of course, we bought some wine and olive oil to bring home. It is delicious. We warmly recommend Mirko’s Poggi del Chianti winery for a true Tuscan tasting experience.

I bought this experience for my husband's birthday gift and it was great! We had a horse ride beforehand so booked the 2 together. I didn't realise that you then drive up the road to the wine tour and tasting as a separate experience as the photos showed the horses riding through the vineyards so maybe that needs to be clearer, HOWEVER, it was all a fantastic experience. The horses are Arabian, beautiful and well behaved, the stables and surrounding area impeccable and the tour leader very friendly and experienced! Alexandra at the Clos de Basella is amazing with her information and friendly approach and you can tell she truly loves her job which makes it even better! We learnt a lot about the wine, the process and the area! Can highly recommend it, both the horse riding and the wine tour/tasting!
