Marcampo lies in a beautiful area with a great view to watch the sunset. The wine was also good. The tour was longer than 1.5 hours, more 2.5 (nice because they did not rush you but we had to change our dinner plans spontaneously). I would have loved to see something of the area or get a bit of explanation and information on the wines. It was served with almost no info and questions were answered very shortly or not at all. The woman usually doing the wine tasting was on travels and a colleague was doing it for the first time. But there was no information on that before. Just for the wines my review would be better.

Interesting experience, excellent wines

Interesting experience. Our guide, well-prepared, showed us a real, ancient (Etruscan) cellar dug into the tuff. The bottling procedure was interesting. The wines tasted were excellent, accompanied by flavorful cured meats and cheeses.

Throughout the tasting, the hostess welcomed us with kindness, expertise, and interesting facts. After we viewed the property together and she told the story of the winery, she accompanied us into the cellar and showed us the barrels, explaining each production process. When the tour was finished, they had us taste all the types of wine produced by the winery. Excellent wines, with their characteristics and origins well explained.
