We want to tell through our wines the story of a dream that comes true… “Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes shine to stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait. The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas” First of all we are a family whose story is made of passion, devotion and curiosity. Cortecorbo is the name of a land in the small village of Montemarano that is famous like a world-wine excellence. We have lived here for generations producing wine for more than 50 years. In 1970 Soccorso Romano planted Aglianico red grape in the Cortecorbo land where we still take care of our grapes in order to produce our red wines: Montis Marani, Anthonia & Antyco. Soccorso was a farmer, he loved to produce wine for the family and friends; Aglianico wine has always been his passion. During the time he planted about four hectars of vineyards, he really wanted the tradition to be continued… So in 1999 his daughter Antonia founded Cortecorbo wines collecting the long ancesters’ tradition & knowledge in order to tell with passion a unique story. Antonia is an entrepreneur, wine-maker and also an excellent chef. For more than twenty years she has been producing wine with: –Respect of Family history & Tradition: Irpinia is the land of three world known DOCG wines such as Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and Taurasi. Antyco is our Taurasi docg (it is a red wine with a minimum aging of 5 years) whose name comes from the mix of the names Antonio & Federico who are Antonia’s two children. While Montis Marani is the ancient name of the village where we are located: Montemarano. Antonia wants to tell you a different story through each wine… –Innovation through the continue research of new techniques and flavors, Antonia is always looking for new kind of wines. Nota Caparbia is a white wine made from Fiano grapes whose processing deviates from tradition through a double aging in oak barrels to express a new idea of Fiano. We are always looking for new Food & Wine experiences to welcome wine-lovers in our “cantina”. –Passion is the force that allowed us to overcome the difficulties encountered along the way. It will be the ingredient to better face the future’s challenges. Since 2021 Antonio & Federico have been helping Antonia in making wine & hosting people in “cantina” for amazing Food & Wine Experiences. Making wine is an art that requires time and study, so Antonio & Federico are only at the beginning of the journey, but tradition is looking for the future…. We want to tell through our wines the story of a dream that comes true…

Il Cortiglio is a wine and olive farm which, out of love for the land, operates aiming at environmental sustainability. The care of the vineyards, the green choices, the innovative methods of organic cultivation, and the attention to the transformation processes, contribute together to the description of the company values. The link between the Irpinia area and the Il Cortiglio company has distant roots, spanning centuries of history. It is the story of a family that has built its identity to protect its properties and territorial characteristics. Between the 1700s and 1800s, Francesco Petrone was already producing oil and wine in the castle cellars. Today, the heir Francesco Acampora, and his wife Nadijara, take care of the same lands and family properties, safeguarding the history of an ancient agricultural world and the territory.

The Pepe family is an ancient one in Irpinia, which has for generations been dedicated to the production of wines, marketed throughout Italy and internationally. Entrepreneur Angelo Pepe, following his intuition and driven by a love for his land, worked hard to write the next chapter in the family’s history. The result was Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, a cellar, winery, restaurant and bed and breakfast that has become a centre for wine production and tourism of the highest quality. Angelo Pepe’s foresight was rewarded in 1998 when then Italian President, Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, appointed him a “Knight of the Republic” for the value of his work. The Cavalier Pepe’s eldest daughter, Milena, is a graduate of viticulture and oenology in France and marketing in Belgium. Today, she leads the family estate with charisma and expertise, ensuring that the wines meet the highest standards.

Petrillo Vini e Sapori
(Winery in Taurasi)

Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €44.00
The Petrillo Winery, rooted in history since 1980, owes its existence to the resourcefulness and curiosity of Maurizio. From a young age, he was captivated by the enchantment of the family vineyards, guided by the wisdom of his father Gaetano and grandfather Raffaele. Years of dedication and love for the land followed, with countless grape harvests and sleepless nights in the vineyards and winery. In 2001, a new chapter unfolded as the Petrillo winery emerged, bearing the name "Cantina Petrillo." It quickly established itself as a stronghold of tradition and quality, deeply rooted in the territory and respectful of nature. Despite the brand's growth and success, the winery maintains its warm and familial character, fostering authentic relationships of trust and friendship with valued customers. An unparalleled panorama opens up in our charming winery, located on Via Pasquale De Nisco, a modern building surrounded by greenery. The structure, consis4ng of a basement and two elevated floors rise majestically just outside the town of Pietradefusi (AV), offering breathtaking views of the valleys and hills of Irpinia and Sannio, as well as the town's historic center, with its 1700s Archpriest Church and 1200s Aragonese Tower. The winery, in the basement, is the beating heart of the facility. It is here that the entire production process originates, with a series of fascinating activities. This is where the processing and production take place, with dedicated spaces for each stage: from the grape delivery area to fermentation, from sparkling to wine storage, bottling, and packaging. A valuable part of this floor is reserved for the cooperage, where our wines mature reaching their maximum expression.
