4 Wine tasting at Felsina winery (Mark)The winery and property are gorgeous. There is a small family chapel from the 1500s on property that we saw. They have an amazing operation and we’re very accommodating and open about how their wines were processed.. The wine tasting itself was very good. We did expect a few more food items at the end but overall we were very pleased.

5 Wonderful tour and excellent wine experience in the Chianti (Carolyn)We wanted a less formal wine tour/experience at a smaller winery and found Castello di Selvole. We were so pleased we did - Alberto was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable about the history of the Castello and of course the wines. It was a real pleasure to hear from someone who is actually making the wine and understand all the details behind the process. We enjoyed a lovely informal tasting of 4 Chianti wines paired with cheese and meats , including an amazing Vin Santo that is the best we have ever tasted. No pressure to buy ( but we did!) and we felt this was so much more personal and interesting than the tours at the big wineries. Would totally recommend!

Alberto our host was great, tour of the vines, just before harvest, cellars and then finished with tasting and a little food. 5 Castillo di Selvole (Benjamin)Our tour of the winery and the wines offered were a wonderful experience. My two daughters and I joined an Argentine family on the tour so it was very personal. Alberto, a member of the family that owns the winery, was a fount of information about the wine, explained the process in an easy to understand manner and even provided some history of that region of Italy and the conflicts which took place between Florence and Siena near the property. Oh, and there’s a Roman road there too! The wine was excellent, the company convivial and the accompanying cheese and bread made a most satisfying lunch. It was such a welcome change from the mass tours the larger wineries organize and was quite affordable. Value for money and highly recommended!

5 Amazing experience (una visita meravigliosa) (Samuel)A truly unforgettable time. We walked through the vineyards with the most stunning panoramic views we have found. Then we toured we barrel rooms and tasted the wines. This is a rustic, authentic operation and Alberto welcomed us like family. It is a hidden gem! Don’t be discouraged by it being off the beaten path. It is well worth it. We learned more from Alberto than on any other tour and we have a whole new appreciation for Chianti Classico. Also this winery has the most mind blowingly excellent vin santo (sweet dessert wine). Get your hands on the 1996 vintage. It is something you have never tasted in your life. Thank you Alberto for your hospitality. You get personal access from the wine master himself. Second to none and cannot recommend it enough. Un’esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Abbiamo camminato tra i vigneti con le viste panoramiche più incredibili che abbiamo trovato in Toscana. Poi abbiamo visitato le botti e degustato i vini. Questa è un'operazione rustica e autentica e Alberto ci ha fatto sentire proprio a casa. È un tesoro nascosto! Non lasciarti scoraggiare dal fatto che sia fuori dai sentieri battuti. Ne vale la pena. 5 Great location and wine tasting (Johan)Great location and wine tasting of a Chianto Classico winery. Tour guide talked about the history of the vineyard while we enjoyed the great Tuscany view. After that we went to the cellar of where the wine was made/stored and learned about the winemaking process. We ended up with tasting 3 red wines and a white one together with bread, cheese, ham, liver paté and their own honey. Great experience everyone was happy with. Can fully recommend it!

A small family operation in the heart of the Chianti region rich in history and tradition. Off the beaten path and a bit hard to find which made it even more fun! Since we wanted to visit a smaller and more authentic reality, we picked Castello di Selvole, a family business winemaking. We couldn’t have chosen any better!! Alberto and Arielle took us for the tour. They showed us the vineyard and thoroughly explained the entire process, from grape harvesting to fermentation and bottling, as well as the difference between chianti and chianti classico. The tour ended with a wine tasting matched with cheese and cured meat. Their English was impeccable therefore the tour is suitable for tourists too. Highly recommended!!

5 Amazing family run winery experience (Mary)Wow! What a cool place, everyone knows about Castello Brolio but this winery is the setting of their enemy! Many battles took place between the two, a unique piece of history. We were able to try wine straight from the tanks and explore every inch of the winery from vines to tasting room. The prosciutto covered melon was a perfect pairing. Our host was kind and knowledgeable. You will not be disappointed! Well worth the price!
