Bodegas Bentomiz
(Winery in Malaga)

Provides 4 wine tastings and winery visit from €84.00
Bodegas Bentomiz is a boutique winery in Malaga’s hills within sight of the Mediterranean sea. In this beautiful location our 80 to 100 year-old vines flourish in slate soils, benefitting cooling sea breezes. With a combination of modern and traditional vinification techniques we produce a range of fresh and delicate wines. The winery has been developed since 2004 by Clara Verheij (our enologist) and André Both (our chef) and produces a varied range of wines. We opened the restaurant in 2015 to showcase the pairing possibilities, designing each dish to match one of our wines in perfect combination. Clara and André share a passion for the wine and gastronomy, and Málaga,  that they and their staff, love to share.

NILVA
(Winery in Malaga)

Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €30.00
Manilva, a picturesque coastal town in Málaga on the Costa del Sol, is home to historic Moscatel de Alejandría vineyards that overlook the Mediterranean Sea. These ancient vineyards face threats from urban development and decreasing profitability, but a project is underway to protect them by producing Nilva wines and sustainable wine tourism. The guided tour begins with a visit to the CIVIMA (Centro de Interpretación Viñas de Manilva). In its three themed rooms — Viticulture, Enology, and Harvest — visitors can explore the rich winemaking traditions of Manilva. The experience also includes a visit to the boutique winery, where the crafting of Nilva wines is showcased. At Viña del Peñoncillo, a certified organic vineyard, participants can enjoy a tasting of 3 wines, paired with local tapas such as ham and cheese, while taking in stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. This experience, set in a unique environment, has been awarded the Skal International Award for Best Sustainable Tourism Project, offering an unforgettable insight into Manilva’s viticultural heritage.

Bodegas Almijara

5 (1 Review)
BODEGAS ALMIJARA started making wine in 1993 with the production of the now well-known VINOS JAREL, and in the year 2000 our Denominations of Origin Malaga and Sierra de Malaga were awarded. Since then and up to the present day, we have worked year after year to improve quality and consistency. We are dedicated to ensuring that our wines are a modern expression of the grape tradition of this area, by using the most modern technology available. The muscatel grape serves as an essential, indisputable sign of our culture. The BodegasAlmijara`s origins go back to the 19th century when the building started life as a “ La Resinera”, a factory producing resin. It is still known as such by some of the older villagers. The factory continued as such until the years of the Spanish Civil War. Then people began picking muscatel grapes for the production of raisins. This raisin production still continues today, but in a much reduced form. Many years later, somewhere near the 70s, it would turn into a Bodega, but it was not until the year 1993 that “Bodegas Almijara” was consolidated into a business.
