Instead of making us feel rushed or inconvenienced, he welcomed us warmly and immediately made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious—much of it prepared by the owner himself or sourced from local friends and producers. Everything felt authentic, fresh, and thoughtfully chosen, giving us a true taste of the region. The wines were outstanding. Every tasting showcased the care and passion that goes into the winemaking, and we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was. The quality far exceeded the price, making it one of the best value wine experiences we’ve had. What truly made the visit unforgettable, however, was the owner himself. He was warm, funny, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing his wines and his story. By the end of the visit, it felt less like a winery tour and more like spending an afternoon with family. We left with wonderful memories, great wine, and the feeling that we had made a new friend. This was much more than a wine tasting—it was a heartfelt, authentic experience that we will be talking about for a long time. Highly recommended.

5 Great experience and beautiful grounds (Patricia)I visited Abbazia Santa Anastasia and was truly impressed. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere peaceful, and the service impeccable. I’m not a wine drinker, so I can’t comment on the wines themselves, but my family really enjoyed their tasting. The overall experience felt very reasonable for the quality. I also recommend their Relais—the views are amazing and it’s a wonderfully quiet place to unwind.

She provided excellent input on the types of wines we were drinking. The wines we tasted were delicious. We ended up bringing some home with us.

5 Excellent and Informative Tour (THADDEUS)The tour was excellent from the beginning to the end. The host was very knowledgeable about the wine making process but at the same time made it easy to understand. The history of the winery was very intriguing and romantic. The wine tasting and pairing is a must. The information provided by the host was one of the best we've had. The price for the tour is reasonable as well as the prices of the wine. If there was one thing to complain about is not enough advertising about the winery tour.

4 Tour and Lunch (Phillip)There was some confusion with our booking as the winery thought we were due 2 days before and therefore we weren't on the list. I think this meant we did not get a tour. However, we had a very good lunch with the wines and our host was very knowledgabe. Definitely worth a visit. Great views.

5 Cru set tasting experience in Santa Anastasia Winery (Lisa)We began our visit with a tasting of the winery’s premium selection and enjoyed it a lot. Their sparkling wine, made in the traditional Champagne method, was a standout. The service exceeded all expectations. We ordered a charcuterie platter (I can’t recall the exact Italian term), and every bite was delicious. A special thank you to our sommelier Giovanni exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and a fantastic storyteller who elevated the entire experience. The winery itself is set on a picturesque hillside with breathtaking views and is housed in a beautifully preserved old monastery. The scenic drive leading to the estate added to the charm. We visited with our teenage daughters, and even without participating in the wine tasting, they had a great time exploring the surroundings and soaking in the atmosphere.

5 Wonderful experience (Elaine)We were late arrival due to GPS took us to wrong location. However. Maria the host took us on the tour and we had 5 tasting with food pairing experience. The tour was nice, but the wine was even better. I recomend this stop if you like wine tasteings.

4 Great tour by Alessandro on really short notice (Martin)We booked through Winedering less than a day in advance. Alessandro called me less than an hour after booking to confirm the time and we were set. We had a quick tour (4 people, three small children) - Alessandro explained the production very well for the wine enthusiasts and offered some grapes to keep the kids occupied. Not a cute small chateau but a great example of modern wine-making. We tasted a good variety of wines and ordered some to be sent back home (delivery costs get reasonable if you get to 6 boxes - which isn't hard to do if you can pool your orders).

The wine is exquisite and the pairings will have you ravished. Make sure you have food booked for after this tour as it’s sure to get your appetite going.

4 Lovely but could be even better (Steno)Lovely wine. But all of us had the same feedback of 9 people. We would have loved a small tour in the vineyard aswell as having the wine tasting outside in the courtyard instead of having it close to the pool which smells to Much clorine. And Also We were not served by a soumelier which could enhance the tasting experience. Also they did not change glas for each wine. All though the wine was lovely and the staff very kind.

5 Not just good wine (Paolo)It was a wonderful surprise. We accompanied the tasting with an excellent dinner prepared by Calogero, the owner of the winery, at his home. A special person who runs the winery and who, together with his partner Antonella, made this tasting a memorable experience. Stunning Zibibbo, with the Grillo and the Cataratto being just as remarkable. The Nero d'Avola has characteristics that make it different from those tasted previously.

5 Cantina Giacco in Salaparuta (Roberto)Offers an authentic and warm food and wine experience in the Belice Valley. With my wife, our first winery experience, we discovered the wines of the region, such as Grillo, Catarratto and Zibibbo – paired with generous local typical products, including traditional bread, cheeses, cold cuts and bruschetta and in particular an excellent Pantesca salad, in a family and welcoming atmosphere where Giuseppe welcomes guests with kindness and helpfulness, conveying the deep love he nurtures for his land and his work. We had the impression of spending an afternoon with family rather than a simple commercial visit. Giuseppe, an experience to repeat together with our children. Thank you Giuseppe, thank you Nino. 5 Exceptional (ENNIO)Courtesy, professionalism, and great winemaking experience are the great qualities of the winery's owner, naturally all accompanied by excellent wines, a couple of which I found surprising.
