About Winery and Wines
Acetaia Sereni, with its roots in the early twentieth century, began producing balsamic vinegar under the care of Santina, who joined the Sereni family through marriage. As a housewife, she would prepare traditional Modena meals for her large family, often using balsamic vinegar as a key condiment. To meet her family's needs, Santina produced a few liters of balsamic vinegar each year, a tradition that has since grown into a renowned family business.
Today, Acetaia Sereni is managed by Pier Luigi Sereni, his wife Elisabetta, and their sons Umberto and Francesco. The family now oversees more than 1,500 casks of balsamic vinegar, aged in prized wooden barrels, and exports their exceptional product worldwide. In addition to their balsamic vinegar, the estate is home to over 1,000 olive trees, from which they produce a delicate and fruity extra-virgin olive oil, once again establishing it as a typical product of Modena.
In 2012, the Sereni family expanded their operations by adding a farm holiday center, Agriturismo Acetaia Sereni, located atop a picturesque hill. Here, guests can enjoy traditional Modena dishes, all enhanced with the estate's balsamic vinegar and olive oil, alongside local wines and produce from the estate's vegetable garden. The agriturismo also offers six comfortable rooms, providing a serene and relaxing stay amidst the beautiful Modena countryside.

Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.D.O.: This is the pinnacle of their production, aged for over 25 years. It is a rich and complex product, ideal for those seeking the true essence of Modena's balsamic tradition.
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.G.I.: This line includes various labels such as:
- White Label: Made using a traditional family recipe passed down through four generations, this vinegar is aged in ancient oak barrels and features rich notes of red fruits, jam, and vanilla. It's perfect for risottos, pasta, and meats.
- Cherry Label: Aged in cherry wood barrels, this vinegar offers a unique flavor profile with a dark brown color and a sweet, fresh cherry taste, ideal for salads, meats, and pasta dishes.
- Black Label: Known as "the black that goes with everything," this vinegar is aged in oak barrels, offering a well-balanced acidity and sweetness, suitable for a variety of dishes from salads to meats and fish.
- Green Label: An entry-level product aged for one year, this vinegar is versatile and suitable for everyday use, particularly in cooking and marinades.
Mioaceto®: A premium line of aromatic condiments aged in prized wooden casks, offering a refined taste experience.
White Balsamic: A fresh and fruity product, available in classic, Mediterranean, and lemon flavors, ideal for enhancing salads, vegetables, and fish without altering their color.
