About Winery and Wines

In 1986 Enzo Marcolini and his wife Carla fell in love with a place that was as magic as rocky and harsh. At this moment our family estate was born.

Today, Il Monte Caro is one of those vibrant places to which it is impossible to be indifferent. We work daily on the production of distinctive wines of high quality, which reveal the unique terroir of Mount Caro and our Valpolicella wine region. Our farm is a vibrant ecosystem of seven hectares of vineyards, olive and fruit trees, bees, and wild herbs that surround the winery and the family home.

Il Monte Caro is an organic farm where the fine products are the result of sustainable choices and care for Nature, its biodiversity, and soil.

At Il Monte Caro, the core values of the winery are authenticity and conviviality. Only healthy grapes enter the cellar, and indigenous yeasts are used to create wines that emphasize freshness and a delicate drinking experience, enhancing the social aspect of wine.

This approach is reflected in every product, from the youthful, fresh, and versatile wines to the more structured Valpolicella DOC Superiore and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG. The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG showcases a new style, focusing on the complexity of dried grapes, resulting in a wine with vibrant personality, great intensity, and refreshing notes.

In addition to the wines, the winery offers a multi-cultivar extra virgin olive oil with intense aromas, inviting you to experience the traditions of the Verona hills and the essence of family dining.
