About Winery and Wines

Roberto Cipresso began his winemaking journey over 30 years ago in Tuscany, after studying Agriculture in Padua. His career took off while working with renowned wineries like Soldera and Poggio Antico. Over time, he developed his own projects, including the establishment of "La Fiorita" and later his personal estate, "Poggio al Sole." Roberto is known for his international consultancy and research, with his experimental winery "Winecircus" and the innovative "Cipresso 43" project, enhancing native grapes on the 43rd parallel across Italian wine regions.

Roberto Cipresso’s wines include the traditional line with Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, and Rosso di Montalcino DOC. His Cipresso 43 line features unique blends like "La Quadratura del Cerchio" (Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo), and "Pigreco" (Sangiovese Toscana IGT). Noteworthy wines include "Punto Rosso" (Sangiovese and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo), "Punto Bianco" (Vermentino and Verdicchio), and a sparkling rosé called "Altrove" made from Sangiovese.
