About Winery and Wines
Tenuta Valle delle Ferle is located just a few kilometers from Caltagirone, in the heart of the renowned DOCG Cerasuolo di Vittoria area, along one of the most ancient wine routes in history. This historic path, identified by archaeologist Hubert Allen, stretches from Gela-Kamarina through Niscemi and Vittoria, up to Caltagirone, Lentini, and finally Catania. Our vineyards, planted in 1974, are a testament to the region’s rich winemaking heritage. Now in conversion to organic farming, our 10 hectares of Nero d’Avola and Frappato vines thrive under the ideal climatic conditions of the area. With more than 40 years of vine maturity, our grapes produce wines that truly express the texture and aromatic complexity of this unique landscape. The strong ventilation, combined with significant temperature variation between day and night, results in elegant, aromatic wines with exceptional structure. At Tenuta Valle delle Ferle, we blend tradition with innovation to bring the ancient art of winemaking to the modern world.
Our vineyards, planted in 1974, are dedicated to the cultivation of Nero d’Avola and Frappato, both of which flourish in the DOCG Cerasuolo di Vittoria area. The age of our vines ensures superior quality, as they are capable of expressing the full complexity and aromaticity of the land. The unique microclimate, characterized by day-night temperature fluctuations and strong winds, naturally enhances the elegance and depth of our wines. Our wines reflect the natural beauty and richness of the terroir, with each bottle offering a blend of texture, consistency, and refined aromas. The dry conditions during grape maturation further contribute to the concentration and structure of our wines, making them a true expression of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG heritage.
