Wonderful place and fantastic people, the winery tour with tasting is highly recommended. I've been on a few by now, but this was one of the most rewarding thanks to the people who work here, starting with Mr. Giovanni, who has invested years of work in these lands and finds the time to stop with us to tell his story at the tasting table. Ilaria was wonderful in guiding us and explaining the winery's particularities. We were also lucky enough to see the harvest in progress, because with this year's heat it has already started. I don't need to describe Bolgheri... and every place in Tuscany I visit leaves me breathless, Castagneto Carducci is enchanting (a few minutes away by car you can also find the Gulf of Baratti, San Vincenzo, and Populonia).
