Here is what you will live
Enjoy the Unesco Heritage site of Dogliani and taste the great wines of Carlo Romana Winery. The experience includes a guided tour of Dogliani, with its characteristic Gothic architecture designed by architect Giovanbattista Schellino. The etymology of the name of the small town of Roman origins goes back to "Dolium Jani", the barrel of Janus, the ancient Roman God who filled the "dolium" with wine from these hills. Its history is very interesting and always linked to the wine and the grape "DOLCETTO", so much so that in the distant 1593 a regulation was issued on the harvest, where this grape was mentioned.
The tour continues with a visit to the museum dedicated to Luigi Einaudi, the first President of the Italian Republic from Dogliano, and to the G. Gabetti museum with exhibits from the Roman era.
Then we will stop at the giant benches, where you can sit and feel like a child, admiring the landscape from above.
Our tour will end with a walk through the vineyards, up to the top of the hill with the boundary stone of 1752 and, finally, with the tasting of the Langhe wines: DOGLIANI DOCG, BAROLO DOCG, BARBERA DOC, FAVORITA DOC, accompanied by platters of cold cuts and local cheeses, sweets and fruit.
