Domaine Debreuille's story began in 1984 when Michel Debreuille planted the first Aligoté vines, marking the start of a remarkable winemaking journey. By 1997, the winery proudly produced its first vintage, crafted entirely on-site. Located initially in the village of Plottes, the estate faced several challenges due to family transitions and local dynamics. However, in 2015, a new chapter opened when Charles-Édouard Debreuille took over the management, bringing renewed energy and vision to the winery. In 2017, Domaine Debreuille relocated to the welcoming village of Royer, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and conveniently situated on a scenic route that connects various tourist attractions. This new location, coupled with the construction of a state-of-the-art winery, allowed the family to embrace their vision of direct sales, offering visitors a unique opportunity to connect with the winemaking process and purchase directly from the producer. Today, the winery is a beacon for travelers who want to explore authentic Burgundian wines, engage with the local culture, and enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Mâconnais region.

Benoit dedicates herself to the cultivation of the vine and the winemaking. His wife Emmanuelle, who joined him a few years later, manages the administrative and commercial side. The year 2021 marks the beginning of a new generation of the estate with the arrival of their daughter, Lise, an agricultural engineer and oenologist. Together, they developed international marketing and expanded the estate until Domaine Chaveau now has more than 28 hectares, including 26 ha in Pouilly Fumé, Pouilly-sur-Loire, and 2 ha in Coteaux du Giennois.

Domaine de Cardon
(Winery in Bourgogne-Franche-Comte)

Domaine de Cardon Our estate is located in the heart of Burgundy (Mercurey, Aluze and Couches) and our cellar in the small village of Rully. We cultivate 14 hectares of vines, of which 13 hectares are located in the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte du Couchois and 1 hectare in the Beaujolais (Chiroubles). The philosophy of our vineyard is very simple: “In order to make good wines, you need good grapes”! The quality of our wines is the result of rigorous work from the pruning of the vines in winter to the harvest at the end of the summer. Pierre our Cellar Master joined us in August 2015 and makes our wines with passion. Together with our viticultural manager Sébastien, they cultivate the vines with love and respect for our precious terroir. Each year our wine estate is careful to maintain a controlled quantity of production in order to improve the quality and maturity of the aromas. We minimize our treatments and work in a reasoned way to protect our environment and the biodiversity of the Burgundy vineyard. Our History To tell the story of the Domaine de Cardon, we need to talk about the family behind its creation. It all began over 900 years ago. Established in Dracy-le-Fort for several generations, the Cardon de Sandrans family originated in the 12th century in Spain under the name of Cardona. In the 15th century the family participated in the military campaigns of the King of Spain in Italy and Folch Cardona married a descendant of the Strozzi family. Together they gave birth to several sons and two of whom left for France and settled in Lyon. Once in France, Horace and Folch took an active part in defending Lyon against the Reformation. To thank them for their loyalty, King Henry IV granted them the barony of Sandrans in the Ain, a French region. It was not until the 19th century that the family moved to their property in Dracy-le-Fort in Burgundy. The first vines were planted and exploited in this area but were completely uprooted in the 20th century when the property was divided. In 2013, their descendant Frédérique de Cardon de Sandrans decided, with Thierry Bied, to revive the traditions and family values by relaunching a wine business. After the purchase of our winery in Rully in 2015, our estate experienced its first production in 2016. Today we produce 12 different wines that we are pleased to have tasted in our winery!
