Senatore Vini
(Winery in Crotone)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €25.00
The extraordinary story of Senatore Vini began in the early 1900s with Giuseppe Sculco, the great-great-grandfather who started a modest cellar in "Corfù Vecchiu." Later, Francesco Senatore continued the tradition, venturing into winemaking with a passion that has spanned generations. After World War I, Antonio Senatore planted new vineyards in the 1930s, laying the foundations of today's family-run wine estate. In the 1940s, Antonio and his brother Raffaele expanded the business by building a stone cellar in “Corfù Novu,” which became the heart of Senatore Vini for nearly half a century.
The family's unwavering dedication to quality winemaking is evident in how subsequent generations continued to grow the estate. Giuseppe and Franco, the next in line, inherited the vineyards and learned the art of viticulture from a young age. Raffaele and Salvatore, although becoming medical professionals, still remained deeply connected to the family roots. In a modernizing effort, they planned a new wine complex in the beautiful San Lorenzo region in Ciró Marina.
The family’s new generation—Antonio, Emilio, and Vito—has now taken over, carrying the winery into the future. They blend the wisdom of their ancestors with modern techniques to ensure that Senatore Vini remains a leader in Calabrian winemaking, known for its deep connection to the land, the art of winemaking, and enduring family traditions.
Today, Senatore Vini stands as a symbol of perseverance, respect for the land, and mastery of winemaking, passed down through generations, making it a legend in the history of Calabrian viticulture.
Ceraudo Azienda Agricola
(Winery in Crotone)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €159.00
For over 30 years, Ceraudo Azienda Agricola has steadfastly committed to organic farming practices, deliberately avoiding the use of chemicals in the soil, on the plants, and during the processing of their products. This commitment has not been without its challenges. Initially, the transition to organic farming resulted in a significant reduction in production, a common hurdle faced by those choosing to forgo chemical inputs. While chemical agriculture can yield up to ten times more produce, it often depletes the soil, rendering it less viable for future cultivation.
Ceraudo Azienda Agricola, however, has embraced a different path, one that prioritizes the long-term health of the land over short-term gains. The philosophy is rooted in the belief that the land is a precious resource that must be preserved with the utmost care. This approach reflects a broader respect for the environment and a commitment to sustainability.
The goal is not to increase profits by boosting production quantities but to enhance the company’s reputation through the superior quality of its wines. This dedication to maintaining high standards and producing exceptional products highlights a commitment to quality over quantity, ensuring that each bottle is a true reflection of the land's potential and the principles of organic farming.

Born in a family in which wine production is a heritage, Bernardo Romano and Piero Adamo are cousins. They transformed a passion –small scale family wine production– into a business project. From the “Vineyard”, it follows all the production phases up to the actual wine-making and finally the bottling. The main goal is to produce high quality wine, which is the expression of a terroir. Tasting Romano & Adamo wine you can really appreciate the importance given to experimentation, but the main characteristic of the product, its typicalness, is preserved.

vanilla and finally mint. The latter comes back to the taste, in the long and pleasant finish, preceded by a deep and very persistent drink, where the soft and velvety tannin is perfectly balanced in the complexity of our queen Doc label.
Curiosity: Tempo Reale immediately underlines the importance of the passage of time in the world of wine. In fact, it is with aging that a potentially important wine becomes so in reality. But the name also means something else. Because over the years in which it ages, this wine requires daily care, "real time" control of its progress until the long awaited moment of actual maturity.
