Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di GrésyLe Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy, owned by the di Grésy family since 1797, began producing their own wines in 1973 following a decision by Alberto di Grésy. The vineyards are situated in the Langhe and Monferrato areas, which are recognized as the home of Piedmont's greatest wines. The four estates are: Martinenga in the heart of Barbaresco, Monte Aribaldo in Treiso, Cuneo province, La Serra and Monte Colombo in Cassine, Alessandria province. Grapes from all the estate vineyards are brought to the central winery at Martinenga to be made into high quality wines with the greatest respect for tradition and nature, where the aim is to faithfully transfer as much as possible of the identity of the terroir and the varietal into the bottle. Our company is able to produce wines to accompany the entire meal, each one the expression of the character and personality of its terrain of origin. Meticulous work in the vineyard and the cellar means our red and white wines can also be enjoyed several years after bottling. Although our wines can be found all over the world, the best way to taste them is still in their place of origin, and we invite you to come and see us at the winery. Az.Agricola Selezione Teo Costa-Giobbe Di Costa Roberto E MaOur grandfather Theobald Costa loved to repeat that in life you never stop learning and that only God is the master of absolute truth. Modestly, we believe every day to learn something new and the past decades have been for us an important school of life that we jealously preserve and don’t forget. The philosophy that we follow from vineyard to bottle is all in all very simple: we believe that wine should be first of all the fruit and elegance. Bacchus must then be an expression of the land and of the grape varieties maybe indigenous (great fortune of Piedmont) that produced it and of the microclimate that has accompanied it. The wine is the oldest nectar man to known: the illusion that the past millennia have been unnecessary is pure presumption. We believe then that the traditional large oak barrel aging should be a delicate complement , not a predominant and opaque factor.

Cantina Gigi RossoOur winery in Castiglione Falletto, the heart of the Barolo area, is the center of vinification for the grapes which we produce on our four estates. Each one a cru accurately selected from the exposures most profoundly given to vine growing among the hills of the Langhe. The experienced choice of the land, the passionate care of the vineyards, as well as the careful selection of grapes during the harvest allow us to have at our disposition approximately 300.000 kg. of splendid grapes each year. We believe that this, together with our rigorous respect for local wine making tradition and 40 years of enological experience, guarantee an outstanding result for each wine we produce.

Tenuta MontanelloBartolomeo Racca bought Tenuta Montanello April 19, 1864 by the Earl of Castiglione Falletto Patrick Philip of Scagnello. It was for many years the home of the first Cantina Sociale of the Langhe: the Cantina Sociale di Castiglione Falletto that at the end of 1800 brought together 36 different manufacturers of this town. It thus began to produce and market the first Barolo. Today, after five generations, Montanello estate is still owned by the family and is run by Racca Alberto Racca leading the company in respect of the tradition, but open to innovations in the wine sector. The Montanello hill has always been considered one of the best cru of the Barolo area; was inserted by Renato Ratti Barolo in its Charter, and by Slow Food among the Great Vineyards Langhe. The composition of the soil and its excellent exposure to the south, southwest and west, make a Barolo of good alcohol content and intense aroma, worthy of its ancient history.

Ca' del Baio - Az. Agr..Our first commitment when deciding on the best production model for the hills of the Langhe was to attach importance in working the land to the health of consumers, as well as to the wellbeing of everyone involved in first person in the vineyards and the cellar. This is why we devised our very own model, borne out by long years of experience in making wine and our detailed knowledge of the vineyards. The proximity of the vineyards to the winery allows us to save time and water, and to reduce pollution. The use of chemical fertilizers and synthetic herbicides has long been abolished on our land, with green manuring in keeping with the local tradition of days gone by. We take every care to make sure each vine is guaranteed balanced vegetative development, dedicating special attention to adapting the pruning to the needs of each different variety. In the winery we prefer to use native yeasts in the fermentation to allow each wine to express itself to the full, and we limit the use of sulphur dioxide to the absolute minimum so as to ensure our bottles will age correctly.

Azienda Agricola Rocca GiovanniRocca Giovanni’s winery consists of 22 hectares of vineyards located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, a small village which is part of the eleven communes of Barolo of ancient origin which now owes its fame 'as well as the beauty of the great wines. For three generations, the Rocca family cultivates with care, passion and authenticity the vineyards of his property making wine harvest. The vineyards Pianromualdo, Sant'Anna, Trenta, Mosconi, Giudice e Ravera di Monforte are the main assets of the winery as part of suited zones and subzones of the most important maps of Langa. Over the years the winery amplifies transforming into a small cellar and starts a small bottles production. Giovanni decides achieving remarkable results with his wife Caterina to enhance the wine-making and using the help of oenologist Piero Ballario the range of wines Rocca comes to life. Helped by young daughter Federica and the strong son Maurizio winery now produces about 80,000 bottles a year of the following wines: Langhe Chardonnay Doc, Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Sant’Anna Doc, Barbera d'Alba Doc in the two versions, regular and Vigna Pianromualdo, Nebbiolo d'Alba Doc Giaculin, Langhe Rosso Doc Rucat, Barolo Docg, Barolo Docg Ravera di Monforte (with the previously mention Bricco Ravera) e Barolo Docg Mosconi.. From the beginning the company puts into practice a simple philosophy based on respect for tradition in the land and the winery using eco-friendly products for the treatments in the vineyard and a natural winemaking that reflects more than the lifestyle of the Rocca family.

We are a winery surrounded by the picturesque vineyards of the Langhe district, one of the most renowned vine growing areas of the world. However, we are more than just that, we are an agricultural firm without peer in our region. We encompass over 5,000 hectares of vineyards cultivated by over 2,500 growers. This gives us a unique basis of immense proportions which allows us to produce at a very high quality level that often reaches the peaks of excellence. Dante Rivetti WinesThis is where everything is nurtured and flourishes. With his staff, Ivan Rivetti takes care of the winery, assisted by “scientist winemaker” Donato Lanati of Enosis Meraviglia research centre fame. A blend of technical innovation and the savoir faire of days gone by. Wine is born in the vineyard and “grows” in the winery. For the red wines, the stalks are usually removed from the clusters when the grapes are crushed. The strictly controlled-temperature fermentation takes place using the traditional system of pumping the must over the cap. Maturing then follows, mostly in oak casks and barrels of different capacities for periods that vary according not only to the quality of the vintage, but above-all the label those grapes will represent. For the white varieties, soft pressing produces a must that undergoes the slow fermentation ideal for safeguarding the fresh aromas and typical fruitiness of the grapes.

Cantina Borgogno FrancescoThe Francesco Borgogno family’s vineyards of Nebbiolo da Barolo, in one of the historical Cru in La Morra like Brunate are made up of calcified, clay marl. It is this soil that makes the Barolo wine that is born in this unique land precious and that gives it such a structure that makes it suitable to long ageing. The excellent quality of the grapes produced is due to the dedicated and meticulous work, the entire year, of the whole Borgogno family. Starting with the winter pruning of the vineyards with “guyot method” until an accurate selection of the best bunches during harvest in the middle of October. Bunches are medium-sized with small berries but with thicker skin. Color is blue-black with purple nuance.

Az. Agr. Alessandro RivettoA passion for wine and a long experience in the field, developed over a lifetime of learning and observation, are the most important parts of my personal story. They are also essential traits of the Azienda Agricola Alessandro Rivetto. My grandfather Ercole introduced me to the vineyards and cellars, as did my great-grandfather Giovanni before him. Thanks to them, I began this love story and lifelong passion with wine. Ercole had strong ties to his territory of origins. He knew how to transform his father’s intuition and use it as a launching point to explore new productive possibilities. But more than anything else, he gave me the pleasure of working with a smile. I also learnt this from him: to love what I do and do what I love, bringing a smile to people I meet and those who taste my wine. I found this same spirit, stubborn yet lighthearted, mindful but not too serious, in 2012 in my business partner Alessandro Bonelli, an enologist, who tends to all technical aspects of the winery’s production today. I also found it in Mauro Adriano, who added his extensive knowledge of the international market when he joined us. We form a team that carries the project of a dream that began when I was just a child, one that I’ve followed for over twenty years of work in my professional life: to produce wines that excite through telling consumers about how they are made from hard work, pleasure, and an inclination for sharing. For us, that dream today is a compelling exploration of what our vineyards are able to offer us, year after year. But it is also the challenge that we set ourselves for new clients who discover and appreciate our wines in every angle of the world.
