5 Picnic in the vineyard (Lorna)We chose the "Picnic in libertà" experience and it was wonderful. The wine trekking part is not at all difficult. There is a small uphill section at the start but nothing impossible. The Calatroni route (provided by the map they give you) is a circuit and takes about an hour. If it's very hot, I'd suggest walking by about 10/11am to then return for the picnic hamper. In cooler weather, you could easily take the hamper with you and picnic in amongst the vineyards you pass. Part of the route is on the Saint Colombanus Way - the 7th C Irish abbott Colombanus founded a church in Bobbio, and pilgrims would travel along the very route you are taking! The picnic itself was delicious - fresh, seasonal food - and the wine was superb (we had the Calatroni Riesling). Kudos to the vineyard for the biodegradable or reusable containers. This is sustainable tourism at its best - highly recommended!

5 An excellent discovery in the Oltrepò Pavese (Martina)A wonderful experience to discover Tenuta Mazzolino and get to know the Oltrepò Pavese a little better, an area I was visiting for the first time. The visit was interesting and enjoyable, never too technical, and allowed us to better understand the Estate's work, from the vineyards to the splendid underground cellar, up to the final tasting. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to see the differences between the soils up close and to discover how Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are processed, as well as the explanations on the Classic Method and the Estate's connection with French tradition. The tasting was an excellent conclusion to the visit, accompanied by clear explanations accessible even to those who, like me, love wine but are not experts. An experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to discover a little more about Oltrepò and its wines. Booking with Winedering was super easy and practical!

5 A tasting I will not forget (Stefania)Everything was perfect, our guide, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, managed to make us perfectly enter the wonderful world of this land, the Oltrepò Pavese, a territory that is not valued enough despite being wonderful from every point of view. 5 A really great experience! (antonio)A really great experience! Excellent rock-hewn location. The owner combines professionalism with friendliness, which never hurts. The food is genuine and abundant. The four glasses of wine presented and served pair well with the courses (except in my opinion the last one, a white with natural bubbles that we struggled to finish with the dessert). The cellar tour is very brief and unfortunately does not include a visit to the vineyard as well. There was a small misunderstanding about the surcharge we were supposed to pay for a small child's meal (pasta with butter and cooked ham), but the owner proved to be very understanding and generous, offering the meal for free: something very rare nowadays. Overall, I feel I can highly recommend this experience and the agriturismo itself for the excellent quality-price ratio and the friendliness of the staff.

5 A wonderful experience (Stefania)It was a beautiful afternoon, a different kind of tasting. We walked through the vineyards tasting the first three glasses with a detailed explanation from the oenologist, from the harvest to the production of their wines. We learned so many new things. Then we went to the actual tasting with platters of cured meats and cheeses, where they explained how to taste the other 4 glasses, paired with what we were about to eat. Everyone was truly cordial, hospitable, and very kind. Obviously we bought their wines. Truly a wonderful experience. Congratulations

5 EXTREMELY PLEASANT (Moira)I went with a friend to Cantina Taia to visit the cellars and do a tasting. We found Stefania and her dad waiting for us, who welcomed us warmly and told us in a very pleasant way how they work, showing us various processing rooms while revealing many interesting facts. Then came the tasting part and we were welcomed into a small room with a very pleasant atmosphere. The wines are delicious and in fact we went home with several bottles each. Highly recommended experience!

5 Excellent experience (Silvia)The 8 of us booked a tasting (three wines and platters of cured meats and cheeses) on Easter Monday. We were welcomed with kindness and friendliness by the very hospitable owners who for the occasion had also prepared other dishes in addition to what was planned. A beautiful and relaxing place in the countryside where you can also bring dogs. We bought the excellent wine. A few km away you can also go see a Big Bench in a hilly position.

5 An educational and fun morning (Antonio)We spent a beautiful morning at the Calatroni winery, not too big but very well-kept. Our "Virgil" (whose name I don't remember, and I apologize) was perfect; besides the history of the winery and the Oltrepò area, he explained some truly interesting technical aspects of winemaking in a simple way. A cheerful conclusion with a tasting of the winery's excellent wines, honorable mention for the "Michel" classic method. We went home with several bottles of excellent wine.

We did a tour of the winery with an explanation and then tasted three wines (white, rosé and red) accompanied by a charcuterie board. Everything was very good and they were super kind.
