Agricola Molino S.S.A
About the Winery
Founded in 1991, Agricola Molino is a family-run winery rooted in the hills of Treiso, in the heart of the Langhe. The story began when Virginio Molino, a lifelong winemaker from San Damiano d’Asti, acquired a small vineyard and a winery together with his sons Tommaso, Franco, and Dario. Over the years, the estate has grown steadily, expanding both its production and its vision, while remaining deeply connected to its family values. Today, Agricola Molino combines tradition with a welcoming approach to wine hospitality, offering visitors the chance to discover the authentic spirit of the Langhe through its wines and experiences.
About the Wines
Agricola Molino focuses on the expression of native Piedmontese grape varieties, including Dolcetto, Barbera, Arneis, and above all Nebbiolo. The winery stands out as the only producer of Barbaresco with the geographical mention Ausario, crafted exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in a historic vineyard planted in 1958 in Treiso. This unique Barbaresco is structured and elegant, with firm tannins and early-developed spicy and balsamic notes. Alongside this flagship wine, the range reflects the diversity and richness of the Langhe terroir, with wines that combine authenticity, balance, and a strong sense of place.
