We are in Castiglione Tinella, where Langhe faces Monferrato, a few minutes from Canelli: the village where at the end of the Nineteenth Century the first Italian spumante was born. Hills filled with history and culture. Beating heart of the classical area of Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante DOCG. Like for many family-run wineries in Langhe, it’s difficult to go back to the date of foundation. Soon enough, one gets lost in the memories and vicissitudes of the generations that came before us. We can fix the beginning of our history when, in the first post-war period, my grandparents Anna Colla and Armando Soria purchased a second-hand press and built the first two concrete vessels, with the unmissable “Dutch sack filter”, to start to vinify the Moscato Bianco variety. They foresaw how important can be the ability to transform one’s grapes. Today, I, Emanuele, together with my parents Piero and Teresa, run a winery with twelve hectares of SQNPI-certified vineyards, where Moscato and environmental sustainability have a leading role. South-facing vineyards that reach slopes higher than 40%, require a lot of manual work. Historical and heroic vineyards: the “Moscato sorì”. We believe in this heroic agriculture and the distinction of the different cru.

Ca ed Curen is a small family-run wine farm, going on since generations in the commune of Mango, at more than 500 mt asl, in a very convenient area, towards Belbo valley one side, Barbaresco area on the other and at the begin of Monferrato hilly district as well. We’re so proud to work our vineyards to produce several grape varieties giving then naissance to the different wines such as: the dry Moscato “L’incompreso”, the Rosè “l’incontro”, the Chardonnay “Noi”, Dolcetto d’Alba “cent’anni e più’”, the barbera d’Asti “Ercole”. We end up the range of our products with the Barbera and Moscato “Grappa” (a uniquely Italian drink, traditionally made from pomace) and the wine obtained by dried Moscato grapes under the name “Pasiensa”. Grandad Giacomo, called Curen handed down the experience to my father Ercole and then to me, simple farmers but careful to the choice of the different vines and their position. We organize guided visits to the winery, vineyards and tastings.

Tenuta Antica is a certified organic farm located in the enchanting Langa Astigiana region, known for its picturesque landscape of vineyards, hazel groves, meadows, and woods. The story of the farm began in 1998, when founders Mauro and Maria Pia, tired of city life, dreamt of creating a life in nature. In 1999, they discovered a deserted farmhouse in the Langhe, a place that captivated their hearts and became the foundation of their new project. The farm's first step was converting 7 hectares of neglected land into organic vineyards, replacing abandoned cereal fields with new Barbera, Dolcetto, and Pinot Noir vines. Over the years, they have also added a hazel grove and implemented sustainable farming techniques, such as rainwater collection, wood-burning heating, and solar energy. In 2003, Tenuta Antica received its organic certification, but it took several more years before the first wine was bottled in 2007. The farm has grown steadily since then, offering not only organic wines but also a welcoming agritourism experience, with accommodations, dining services, and a focus on sustainability. Mauro and Maria Pia have embraced their "follia" (madness), transforming this once-abandoned farmhouse into a thriving organic farm and a haven for guests seeking a peaceful escape, quality wine, and delicious food. Their passion for sustainable living and organic farming has turned Tenuta Antica into a model of modern rural life, combining traditional values with innovative practices.

The Beppe Marino Winery, founded in 1972 in Santo Stefano Belbo, is situated between Langhe and Monferrato, a region renowned for producing the famous Moscato d'Asti. The secret to the winery's success lies in the unity of the Marino family. Beppe, together with his wife Rosalba and son Maurizio, cultivates vineyards perched 400 meters above sea level on the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, Mango d'Alba, and Castelnuovo Calcea. These 15 hectares of prime vineyards, located in some of the most prestigious areas for vine cultivation, produce wines that are highly regarded both in Italy and abroad. The winery's legacy is built on courage, entrepreneurial spirit, and a love for challenges, ensuring that the baton is successfully passed from one generation to the next. This long-standing tradition, coupled with a deep passion for winemaking, ties the Marino family closely to the vineyards and the enchanting atmosphere of their winery. A testament to the winery’s deep roots is the large farmstead, the vineyards, and the state-of-the-art winery. In 2016, Beppe Marino moved the winery to the historic Monastery of the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Joseph, also known as the "Monastery of the Sisters of White Wine." This monastery, a symbol of the Belbo Valley, has long been a place where spiritual tradition and wine culture intersect. The nuns began producing "Moscato da Messa," a sweet white wine used by priests throughout Italy for liturgical services, when they arrived in Santo Stefano Belbo in 1906. The relocation to this charming and historically rich site adds a unique dimension to the winery. The spacious indoor garden, adorned with plants and flowers, enhances the mystical ambiance, making it an ideal setting for tastings and a perfect starting point for exploring the Langhe and its local traditions. Today, the Beppe Marino Winery operates from the historic Monastery of the Sisters of St. Joseph, preserving a precious legacy of the region. Once closed for years, the monastery now thrives as a modern production facility, where the tranquil environment offers a small paradise on earth. The combination of the nuns' historic equipment with modern machinery ensures that the winery can efficiently carry out all aspects of wine production. The essence of enological culture, blending the past with renewal, defines the winery’s philosophy, uniting tradition with cutting-edge technology to produce exceptional wines.
