About the Winery
La Dama is a dynamic company created by Gabriele and Miriam in Negrar, in the heart of classic Valpolicella near Verona. Their love for the area and for their vineyards, which are all organic, generates high quality grapes which produce elegant, refined and well-structured wines. Their vineyards can be found in two different locations: six hectares are situated in Negrar, close to the winery and easily accessible for visitors, while another four hectares are situated on the sunny hills of Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. The products of the modern winery, which is conveniently located midway between Verona and Lake Garda, are obtained with special care and competence and embody the whole territory.
About the Wines
10 of the 16 hectares on which our cellar was built are vineyards cultivated with pergola and spalier, located in two different parts of Valpolicella Classica: Negrar and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella. In Negrar we have La Dama, the magnificent vineyard that has generously sacrificed its vines to make way for the winery, Cà Besi and Corbellari, which blend youthfulness and maturity thus making the grapes both unique and complimentary, and the wisdom of Pozza Ferrara and Le Porte that gives the wines character and body. In Sant’Ambrogio there is the beautiful Colombarino, located on hill, and its location caressed by the sunlight and facing lake Garda makes it the ideal place to produce grapes of great quality.

Tasting in Valpolicella
Relax
The tour of the vineyards and the cellar left us speechless and our guide was truly, truly knowledgeable and impeccably sweet. She loves her job and conveys it to all the guests, making the visit even more pleasant. We chose the five-glass tour with local cured meats and cheeses to accompany each glass and there, well, nothing to add except absolute goodness.
Afterward, we had a picnic on the lawn with another glass to accompany it and there too, we were truly speechless. You have the chance to sit wherever you like and enjoy the tranquility and the green of those vineyards with a first course, second course, and dessert, and then take a well-deserved nap.
To finish, we bought some wine to take home from their shop and had a coffee, taking a beautiful experience with us. I recommend it to everyone because you will be happy you went.
I personally liked the Recioto paired with the homemade sbrisolona. My boyfriend was blown away by the Amarone, a spectacle for the taste buds.

Exceptional products
Complete Valpolicella Tasting
The sommelier was very good at explaining the various types of wine presented, always smiling.
We were able to try the most characteristic wines: from the Classico, Superiore, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto.
The Recioto strikes you with its sweet note, which is hard to find around.
They also organize picnics, different tastings that also include a tour of the vineyard and cellar, everything is very well-kept. I recommend it.

The landscape is simply wonderful and the winery, despite being young, tells an authentic story, deeply linked to the territory and to biodiversity. A commitment that is also clearly perceived in the quality of the wines tasted, all excellent and full of character.
An experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wishes to discover the true spirit of Valpolicella!
