5 Super time (Benjamin)We arrived a little early and were greeted by our host, who seated us comfortably at our table and supplied us with bottles of water while we rested. The wine tasting started promptly. The host was lovely, welcoming, engaging, spoke beautiful English, and encouraged us to ask any questions. She guided us through the history of the family, the wine making process, showed us vineyard, wine cellar, and the wine processing area, before the tasting itself. We tasted a number of delicious wines, paired with bread, olive oil, meat, cheese and honey. Our host described how best to extract different flavours from the wines. We were invited to choose our final glass from their whole range of wines, and we finished off with a shot of grappa. Our host kindly ordered a taxi for us back to Sirmione - 20 Euros. The only negative in the experience is that it’s a long walk to get to the vineyard. I would advise the shuttle bus from Sirmione port to the town Centre. It’s still a bit of a walk from there. We walked the whole way- 3 miles in the heat of the day! Other than that, the experience was a real highlight of our holiday, and we’re hoping to purchase some Sgreva wine when we get back to the UK.

It was in a very homely setting and wholesome We tasted 6 wines and they were all good and I particularly loved the sparking whites they have Will definitely go there again if we ever plan a trip again to that part of Italy

The Archetti family made us feel at home with Michela guiding us through the tasting and her mother providing cheeses and meats. We were impressed with the flavors expressed through the grapes! Luca also sat with us and opened one of his favorites to share also. We were staying in Brescia and Il Dosso was an easy drive. This winery had what we look for; personal attention, generations of wine experience, and a passion for producing wine. 4 A Beautifully Balanced Experience of History, Nature, and Wine (Jasper)We chose the Da Vinci route, which takes you on a scenic walk around the entire vineyard. There’s something truly special about this place — a unique blend of history, nature, and winemaking, with the added magic of standing where Leonardo da Vinci is said to have conceived the idea of the Mona Lisa. To also be able to actually taste the grapes directly from the vine is amazing as well. Be aware though, the trail is quite physical, with some steep climbs, so I’d only recommend it if you’re in good shape and comfortable walking uphill. The experience ended perfectly with a wine tasting beautifully paired with local cured meats and cheeses. We sampled two red wines and one sparkling, each carefully matched to highlight the region’s character. If you’re in the area — and up for the walk — this is an absolute must-do.
