Here, wine becomes the protagonist of the story of a sunny land, guarded by the Butteri, which plunges into the blue of the sea, among the green of the vineyards and the gold of the wheat, among Maremma cows and galloping horses. At Rocca di Montemassi, viticulture, the production of olive oil, pasta, legumes and cereals, livestock breeding, hospitality and the promotion of the culture of Maremma coexist and integrate in the most complete respect for the environment. In 2018, Rocca di Montemassi was awarded EQUALITAS Certification, an important recognition of the path of Environmental, Ethical and Economic sustainability that has been undertaken in recent years. Our sustainability report is available at this link. All of this would not be possible without passionate men and women, the true driving force behind the project.

The heart of Valdonica are the vineyards, which we planted into pure mother nature – all soil here is untouched and virginal. The buildings in Valdonica are integrating traditional Tuscan architecture, modern design, the comfort of Italian “Dolce Vita” and leading edge ecological technology. In 2008 we produced our first wines: 5 wines, 5 characters and temperaments, 5 expressions of Valdonica. From the vineyards to the bottle – we follow the flow of nature: Our wines ferment in small batches through yeast from Valdonica´s land, they mature in barriques or stainless steal and rest in the bottle from 12 to 24 months. Since then we have been growing in what we do and the wines have been growing – knowing that the perfect wine might be found in another universe! The uniqueness of Valdonica lies in the interplay of high altitude vineyards (up to 500 meters), the microclimate of the Mediterranean Sea, the volcanic soil and the spirit of our team – it all reflects in the “spiciness” of our wines! We in Valdonica work with greatest respect, gratefulness and joy for nature – to achieve with a minimum of human intervention a maximum of nature. This is reflected in the organic certification for our wines.

Parrina DOC wines are produced from 1971 in our basement, partially recovered from the original interiors of the nineteenth century and restored in perfect harmony with the environment, paying particular attention to modern organization of spaces and technology. The cellar is certainly a tribute to our land, because it is the instrument with which we produce quality wines that highlight the characteristics of these lands, but it is also the physical location in which we give the opportunity to our guests to come into direct contact with our production philosophy. We offers the opportunity to see how to make a wine, starting with the grape harvest, through the vinification and aging and ending with bottling.

Laura, after graduating in law, he has always worked in farms and wineries; Francis is, for a part of an expert vinoe wine and the other is an engineer, Lorenzo, then studied agriculture, but it has always done tutt 'other and took care, before we open the farm, the insurance industry. AThis If you add that to the birth of The 7 shirts have also contributed a doctor and a commercilista, it is clear that none of us had much experience in the hospitality industry. Of course, at some point came Martha, but she works in the audit, indeed! Not being professionals, we have developed a simple question: cosapiace ainostri friends when they come to spend their holiday in our house? What we liked the places we visited? It is not only the beauty, the elegance of the furnishings, the comfort of home that makes a memorable holiday: it is the atmosphere that you feel the way you are greeted, the experiences we live, this is, in our opinion, to make thedifference. So we have tried to build for the guests of 7 Camicie the opportunity of a holiday diquesto type, as well as we might like it to our friends and our families. Now, after a few years the arrival of the first guest in our farm, we try the same spirit, to always do our best to provide a good wine, give hospitality in beautiful places, only for their beauty, clean and welcoming and provide opportunities for our customers to come to Tuscany and return home with fond memories, accompanied by some of our heat

Poggio Foco’s Vineyards are at the center of the 550 hectare estate which is managed entirely with an organic approach and that is protected by the forest that surrounds it. Primary harvests are wine, olive oil, and grains which feeds 700 sheep, 50 cows and 50 wild boars. Passion is a great emotion, and like all great things, it requires to be nourished and cared for, in order to grow. Francesco Kovarich’s passion was born through love for the wind, and like the wind has embraced his entire life, accompanying him from Verona to the Maremma. Poggio Foco has further inspired this passion, which at first was simply a scented bouquet, and then became wine. Surrounded by his vineyards that harmoniuously cover the sloping hillsides like embroidery, Francesco cultivates a wine that fully expresses in all tis essences and flavour the wounderful territory in which it is produced. Sofar the breeze continues to blow through the rows of vines, bringing with it the flavor of the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, and thus dividing Francesco’s time and dreams, between sea and land.

The vineyard has a surface of about 5 hectares and includes the varieties of “sangiovese”, “ciliegiolo” and “vermentino”. The hilly soil on which they grow is of medium consistency with a high percentage of framework. These factors are essential for giving a high level of freshness to the grapes.
