5 "Arancini Cooking Class among the Vines at Tenuta Bastonaca, winetasting and lunch" (Michael)What a wonderful time learning how to make Arancini both by hand and using molds. Our hostess was knowledgeable, friendly, easy going and patient! She was amazing ! While the arancini was cooking, she took us on a winery and vineyard tour which ended at a table setup for wine tasting and a tasting pairing of snacks and our arancini! The wines were all wonderful - we even ordered some to be shipped back home! Thanks again to our hostess for a fabulous time!

3 We expected a bit more (Rosemarie)Thanks to Anita's very comprehensive and informative descriptions and explanations, we were able to gain a lot of insights into the production of biological wines, as well as the history of the cantina. However, we were a little disappointed that the walk through the vineyards wasn't more than taking a few steps away from the cantina. In addition, the brunch didn't really include very typical Sicilian dishes and the pasta course wasn't inspiring either. The cantina itself and the vineyards are very beautiful. On the whole, a very enjoyable experience

5 Small Nero D'Avola winery (Kenneth)Highly recommend visiting this small winery. Its different from the usual commercial sized wineries and hence offers a more intimate experience. The wines are great as well so you will be taking some home with you. You taste 4 different wines and a grappa for a very reasonable price. If you are on the area make it part of your itinerary.

5 Nice experience (Jessica)We were welcomed by the owner of the winery and had a small tour of the vineyard where she explained how they harvest grapes and olives as Tenuta Bastonaca also do olive oil. We then had a lovely meal starting off with appetizers, ravioli, meat and dessert. All courses paired with wine from the Tenuta. The meals were very abundant and flavourful. All in all it was a very nice experience and we rate it a 10/10!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and during a walk through the vines he shared many details about their organic wine making process that was new to us. After an equally informative visit to the winery itself we then tried a few of their unique wines along with selected cheeses that enhanced the taste of each wine. We highly recommend a visit to anyone who with an interest in the wine process.

5 Fun class and delicious food and wine! (Janette)We did the Arancini cooking class with Silvana. She was such a welcoming and amazing instructor, we had so much fun. It was a class for just the 3 of us, and she made it so personal! We made 2 types of arancini, and while they were cooking, we were treated to a feast of cheeses, meats, olives, crostini, etc, along with 3 wines from the winery, then came our arancini. Everything was so delicious! We also took a little tour of the vines and winery with Giovanni, he was great! Wonderful way to spend the afternoon! Highly recommended!

5 The best wine tasting experience in Ragusa (Trym)If you just want to taste wine, and know a little bit about it, this is the place to go. We got as much cheese and cookies as we wanted, also a refill if we wanted that. Some of the wine came straight from the tank. Very nice and helpfuo workers that show you around. The wine tasted amazing. Would definetley recommend to go here to get a raw, real wine experience. Even if you are not into wine.

4 Great lunch, tour was too short. (Larry)The lunch and wine tasting was a 5. The “tour” was only about 10 minutes long. We did not go out into the vineyard and given further information about the vines, growing season etc. We did not see the entire production area, just some stainless steel tanks and a few oak barrels. We are going to order some wine to be shipped as soon as the weather cools down here and in Arizona.

5 Armosa Vineyard Wine Tasting (Christopher)We had a brief tour of the vineyards (it was very hot out, so we asked to cut that short) followed by a great tasting of four different wines, as well as some olive oil and grappa. Everything was delicious, and the winemaker Salvo and his daughters were extremely pleasant and personable. Highly recommended in you're in the Modica vicinity.

4 Wine Tasting at Armosa (Dennis)Very informative and interesting session. Other than wine, they also produce olive oil, grappa and pasta. Their wines are organic and they specialize in Nero d'Avola and Moscato. It's a small estate and therefore not large scale producers.

5 Fantastic tour and tasting! (Gordon)We had a marvelous tour and tasting! After a very informative tour of the vineyard and olive orchard, we were given a excellent guide through the winery itself which elaborated on all the equipment and processes necessary from grape to bottle. We especially enjoyed learning of the methods to make the sparkling wines. And then the tasting…. The food pairings were perfect as we navigated the outstanding wines. I’m excited to further drink the wines we purchased and hope to find them back home in California.

5 Great experience and great wines! (Iver)We had a great experience at Gurrieri and can only recommend the fullest. We were given a brief tour in vineyard and later in the production hall. Dominika was very knowledgeable and explained everything about the winery, its history, and the production of their various wines. We tasted some great wines afterwards, the quality definitely exceeded our expectations! The wine was accompanied by some nice bread and olive oil of their own production. The tour and tasting took about 1.5 hours, but there was no rush from their side. We felt very much at home and would definitely recommend the experience!

Anita guided us on a walk through the vineyards that was very evocative and interesting, perfect for getting to know up close the work and passion that are behind the production. We concluded with a tasting of wines produced by them, accompanied by an aperitivo with local specialties. Everything organized with care: a pleasant experience and definitely to be recommended.
