5 Wine Tasting @ Bodega Emilio Moro (Adrian)Our Host Raquel was very nice and told us a lot about the history of the winery and the growing of the vines, the harvesting and the storage of the wine in the barrels. After the tour we went upstairs in the restaurant where we could taste 4 different wines and Raquel shared all her knowledge about the wines and wine tasting.

5 Interesting and tastfull visit (Hans)We had a private visit with the owner and winemaker. A glass of rosé as we have to wait a while. Very enthousiastic and a lot of interesting information. Modern winery and very neat. Followed by a taste of 3 excellent red wines in a nice surrounding.

5 Great Tour! Great Wine!! (Robert)The tour was very informative about the importance of the ecological approach implemented at the Virtus Bodegas. Thorough walk through of processing of the grape. Beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff, and the tasting room was relaxed and welcoming. Rafael was a great host. And it was all topped - off by a generous tasting of three of their incredible wines. A fun afternoon.

5 Best tour of my life! (James)It was an amazing experience, with tours of the vineyards, discussion of soil and terroir, and how these express themselves in the wine. The wine itself is the best Toro I've ever had, clearly superior to the wine from the better known bodegas in the region. I've done wine tours all over the world, but this one was easily the best. The price of this wine will skyrocket once the right importer finds out about it.

5 English Tour (Paul & Tracy)We were met by the host ( sorry can’t remember his name but might be javier ) and we had a wonderful tour of the Bodega which was very interesting and the detail was second to none. We tasted some fabulous wines and the attention at the final tasting was superb.

5 Personally wine tasting (Peter)Me and my wife joined a wine tasting at Bodega Sarmentero in November 2024. When we arrived we were the only 2 booked. That gave us an unic experience in wine production. This is a very small wine producer and we loved the way it was prepared. A walk through the production and then a tasting with local ham and cheese. So generous! The woman that guided us was extremely friendly and had very good knowledge about wine. She also spoke perfect English.

5 Fun and interesting winetour! (Miekeete)Very pleasant host who told a lot of interesting facts about Ribera. Recommended a fantastic lunch address. Spain at its best. Afterwards a very agreeable tasting with snacks. Luckily the wine is also for sale in Amsterdam. Worth visiting!

5 Perfect Winery tour in Ribera del duero (Changseong)### English review This winery is not the largest in Ribera del Duero, but I can confidently say that the quality here is second to none. Javier, the manager of this Bodega, welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived and gave us an interesting and friendly explanation of the winery's history, making us fall in love with its philosophy. We then toured the winery's fermentation and aging facilities, receiving detailed explanations of the wine production process. I was very impressed by the extensive steps taken to select the grapes used in the wine and the use of eco-friendly yeast. We also had the opportunity to taste wine maturing in oak barrels. Although this wine is still young and tannic, I felt that its aroma and balance were excellent. As a wine lover, this was a very special experience for me. Later, we had a private wine tasting. Javier explained the aromas in detail and taught us how to properly taste the wine. In the end, we bought three bottles and headed back.

5 Extraordinary. (Lucas)The visit was extraordinary. The whole family received us; my wife and I were the only people on the visit. The winery is a true family winery, excellent treatment and, as you would expect, the products they make, white Godello and red Mencía wines, are of the same quality as those who make them. You can tell the care and work that goes into all their wines. Special mention to the owner's wife, who treated us to an authentic potato tortilla, with eggs from her own chickens, which was the perfect accompaniment for the tasting. Without a doubt, the most personal visit I have had to a winery. I recommend it to everyone who passes through El Bierzo.

5 Excellent (Mike)The building doesn't look like much but the tour is very interesting. They have kept an old-fashioned fermentation system in large concrete vats. Traditional work, manual harvest. A small family-run business. No frills here. Only the quality of the wine counts, which is excellent and not expensive at all. I recommend. Tour with Luz, a very friendly young female sommelier.
