5 A review (Robert)A small winery with vineyards spread around Ciro. A non descriptive entrance in a dusty car park but gold inside. Don’t be put off by the outside. A young lady, niece of the winemaker, spoke excellent English . What she did not know, the maestro winemaker was on hand to tell us. They make genuine Ciro wines not commercial stuff. If you want a big enterprise don’t go. If you want a genuine small winemaker experience get your arse down there.. Try the 2018 reserve red if there is any left. What more can I say.

5 Wine tour near Reggio Calabria (Yotam)Rodolfo, the owner of the vineyard was an incredible, lovely and accommodating individual. He speaks great English and has a vast level of knowledge and passion for the craft. Me and my partner had a private intimate tour with him across the entirety of his vineyard. They provided a generous and delicious meal showcasing wines they produce allowing us to compare them with paired Italian food they made. Gorgeous views of the purple coast.

5 Welcomed as friends (Jennifer)Our time with Rodolfo, Francesco, Albino, Vincenzo, and Nuncia was one of the most cherished parts of our time in Calabria. Our family of 8 was welcomed as friends — they even made special amends for our Nona who was carried up the hill on her walker by all 4 men! The educational tour of the vineyard, the thoughtfully prepared meal by Nuncia (even an entirely gluten free plate for me), the unpretentious wine-tasting. It was the best slice of Calabria we could have hoped for. And I didn’t even mention the view yet: glorious and quiet along the Costa Viola! It is clear that Rodolfo loves and respects the land and heritage he cultivates at Ceramida. It’s not just about the wine but about the whole healthy ecosystem, as well as preserving the ancient stone walls that support the entire hillside. An evening with Rodolfo and his friends will set you at ease and give you the best insight into the unhurried and hospitable culture of Calabria. I’m so grateful we experienced it. Thank you, all! 5 Best experience in Italy (Sofia)I want to highly recommend the Ceramida winery to anyone interested. You feel cared for from start to finish. It is hard to put in text how much me and my friend enjoyed it there. The owner was so attentive, the food was delicious and a lot…! We booked a version with transfer and were extremely happy and impressed. The sunset winery tour at ceramida is definitely worth your time and money.

The wine tasting itself was exceptional, featuring a selection of wines paired perfectly with delicious regional foods that highlighted the flavors of Calabria. What truly set this experience apart was the incredible attention to detail and hospitality shown to our family. One of our guests has celiac disease, and the team went above and beyond to provide safe, thoughtful, and equally delicious gluten-free accommodations. It is rare to find such care and understanding, and it made the experience enjoyable and stress-free for everyone. If you are visiting Calabria and want an authentic taste of the region's wine, food, culture, and hospitality, Ceramida is an absolute must-visit. The visit to the monastery, the Jeep tour through the vineyards, and the wine tasting complemented each other perfectly, creating a unique, diverse, and thoroughly enjoyable experience. What made it even more special was the warm and personal atmosphere of this small family-run business. 5 Wonderful insight into winemaking (Paul)A lovely afternoon spent with the Murace family. Bivongi a quaint village in the Calabrian mountains made a picturesque setting for an insightful venture into local history and wine production. A visit to a local monastery on the way to the vineyards was a bonus. We spent time at the vineyard learning about the grapes and the process used to produce the wines., the views of the valley and surrounding countryside not to mention the jeep ride there were breathtaking. Back at hq in Bivongi we were treated to 3 wines all of which were excellent and a wonderful platter of Calabrian cheese , meats and vegetables which complemented the wine rather well. The owner of the vineyard Cosimo and his daughter Valentina were attentive throughout the tour and answered all our questions., in all splendid hosts. We wholeheartedly recommend you see for yourself this amazing insight into local wine production,history and current day life in and around Bivongi and Calabria on a whole. 10 out of 10 Cosimo.and Valentina Paul and Gill

Giulio was an exceptional host—entertaining, knowledgeable and passionate. He shared fascinating insights into the winemaking process and local traditions, making the tour both fun and educational. Visiting their family fields was a special touch, giving us a deeper connection to the grape types, wines, even the culture and specific climate impact. The highlight was undoubtedly the wine tasting, where we savored their exquisite selections. We couldn't resist picking up a few bottles at their well-stocked store. (Dre)Rodolfo gave us a brilliant tour around his vineyard and explained the process that each grape goes through from soiling through to finished product. Got the opportunity to try a number of different wines from the vineyard and enjoy some amazing sunset views of Scilla!

5 Simply wonderful (Ambyr)We had such a memorable experience at the tour, arguably the best of our trip. We were created by a stunning drive up to gated doors of the vineyard. Once on the ground we were greated by the family who gave us a tour of the facility. Our host was charming and answered all our questions. We then tasted 5 wonderful wines with no rush while enjoying the environment. Highly recommended!

5 Tenute Pacelli Winery Tour + Tasting (Matthew)If traveling down to Southern Italy be sure to stop at Tenute Pacelli! It's a quaint winery off the beaten trail that punches above its weight class. Would highly recommend the wines and the olive oil that they make onsite was a welcome surprise. Our guide was very accommodating, spoke great English, and was very passionate about his work.
