5 Outstanding (Jeffrey)A group of 5 of us went on a wine tour of Santa Guilia this month. We also had a lunch. First their wines are outstanding including a very reasonably priced Brunello. 5 Highlight of Tuscany (David)This wine tour and tasting was one of our favorite experiences of Tuscany. We had a personalized tour of the vineyard, olive trees, fermenting and aging rooms. Camilla and Emilio made us feel like family and we had the chance to meet their family members. They taught us a great deal about the history of their family farm, wine making process and Tuscan culture. It was a welcome change from some wine tastings that can be pretentious and cold feeling. The food provided was delicious. This is a must do for those who want an intimate, family feel experience!

5 Small, but Beautiful (Phoebe)Small but beautiful vineyard. We got a quick tour of their facilities and an informative history on Brunello wines. Lunch was amazing! Probably one of the top meals we had in Italy from start to finish. Everything was delicious, fresh and made with love. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there with Mariangela and we got to meet and play with their new puppy Fiamma who runs the vineyard! The owners were around. Would’ve loved to have had some interaction with them as we saw them speaking to other visitors.

5 Visit to Vinery Santa Giulia Montalcino (Dick)We had a very nice visit to the vinery Santa Giulia Montalcino. We were warmly welcomed and made a tour where we got a clear view on how the process of producing wine at Santa Giulia Montalcino is conducted and managed. The lunch with testing of four different wines was excellent and we will sure try to buy some wine from this vinery in the Netherlands. Because we were on a biking tour we were not able to buy wine on the spot and take with us. We can recommend a visit to this vinery to everyone who is interest in a small scale vinery with high quality wines.

5 Amazing Experience (Carmela)This winery is small but fantastic. Small tour then they give you a tasting that includes 4 different wines BTW they give you entire bottles to enjoy. You then can choose to have lunch. The lunch is all home made and all products are grown on their property. Vegetables, pasta, sauce, cured meats and cheeses, bread, olive oil. and wine of course. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to do it again. Family that owns this winery is incredible.

5 Lovely experience at Santa Giulia (Lisandro)Little did we know as we drove up to Santa Giulia that our day would become such a memorable experience. This family-run winery in Tuscany has it all. The beautiful landscape, the warmth of the family, the knowledgeable explanations, the exquisite lunch served in the house (if you go for the zero-kilometer experience, like we did). Even the family dog is charming! We can absolutely recommend that you visit and try their fine wines (try more than one vintage of their Brunello if possible), their olive oil, their charcuterie. You will know one or more family members, and if you stay for lunch, Nonna Mirella will make sure you get to experience the flavors of the Tuscan cuisine.

The tour was very informative and interesting and the wine tasting experience was great. 5 Zero Km lunch and tour (Lauren)The Zero-kilometer lunch and winery tour was great! We were provided with a private tour since when we were there it was during off-season and we did not have to compete with other tourists. We had a walk around the grounds as well as inside to look at the different barrels. The tour concluded with the lunch. We were surprised how much food was prepared for us - delicious prosciutto from their farm as well as cheese and bread and salads and pasta and desert-all to accompany the different kinds of wine. It was lovely to see the different family members of the winery coming by and peeking their heads in during our lunch to say hello. It truly is family-run and it was a better experience for us because we felt like we were in the hands of a sweet family. They wanted to make sure that we had a nice time -it didn’t seem touristy. They make it very easy for you to order wine and have it shipped if you are interested - and you get a follow up email when your wine is shipped- not too long after the tour. Highly recommend!

4 Great folks, great place, great time (Drew)Our tasting was scheduled on the first full day of our trip and circumstances led to us being VERY late - hours and hours late. No problem! The host was gracious, relaxed, and accommodating. The tour was very relaxed but informative, and the tasting was great. It was intimate and very non-corporate, which is our speed.

5 Great experience! (DESPOINA)The winery was in one of most beautiful locations in Tuscany, the hills and the cypresses were like a postcard! The Santa Giulia winery offers a wine-tasting experience that beautifully combines tradition with modern viticulture. From the moment we arrived, they warmly welcomed us and offered us a full guide tour explaining everything. The rows of grapevines stretching to the horizon and views of the Tuscan countryside made us feel like stepping into a postcard. We tried 4 red wines (Merlot, Rosso, Brunello 2018 and Brunello 2019) which were paired with locally sourced cheeses, cold cuts, olives and breads, making the tasting not only about the wine but also a celebration of Tuscan gastronomy.

4 Great wine tasting and lunch (Stefan)We (me and my wife) enjoyed a really nice visit to the Santa Giulia vineyard, The visit included a walk through the winery, followed by a tasting event with four wines (two vintages of their Brunello, one Rosso di Montalcino and one Merlot wine), which was combined with a very good and generously sized lunch, prepared and served on the premises. The visit to the winery itself was rather short, and the guide did not seem to have in-depth knowledge about the more technical aspects of the operations. This is probably relevant only if you are a true wine nerd, and of little consequence to the average visitor. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and we had lots of time to enjoy the food and the wines. All in all, a visit to Santa Giulia is strongly recommended.
