5 WINE TASTING AT DOMINI SAN CALARE (Mikhail)First of all, this is not a typical wine tasting! It’s a tiny winery with a small room for guests, a gorgeous view from the window, and outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, it was too chilly for us to sit outside when we visited. It was just my wife and me, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The woman who led the presentation (unfortunately, I can’t remember her name) was new to the job, but she did a fantastic job introducing the wines. And the wines themselves were excellent! To top it all off, she prepared quite a spread of seafood. Everything was exactly what you would expect in Puglia: wonderfully fresh, mostly crudo, and beautifully presented. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

4 Quality wines & lots of interesting history (Karen)We enjoyed walking through the museum & looking at the items. We did expect a guide to walk with us & give us more details. We booked for 2:30 & we’re asked if we were willing to shift to 2:45 to join with another group. I agreed. However, when we arrived, we were told the other group was late They joined us to a large group at 3:00 who were clearly not interested in anything the guides had to say. The people in that group made it very difficult for us to enjoy our experience. We were disappointed with being added to their group rather than having our own experience. We did ask to stay after the group left so I could ask questions & get more information about the grape varieties, production, etc. That time was the best part of our experience. We loved many of the wines & did purchase a case. The two guides were very friendly & nice & we appreciate the time they spent with us.

5 A trip of a lifetime (Theresa)I've been looking forward to stomping grapes and picking olives in Italy for 10 years. It's an experience that's hard to find. We had a marvelous time at Colle Petrito. The scheduled tour guide was unavailable so Serena, a third generation owner, stepped in and was a wonderful hostess. Our experience started with a tour of the olive grove and vineyard, identifying many grape varieties, and picking baskets full. We returned to the production facility and dumped our grapes into a barrel and stomped them barefooted! It was as wonderful as it sounds! We each chose two wines and tasted all of them identifying the flavors, and aromas, while served a lovely selection of local foods. Each of the wines was wonderful. Afterwards Serena’s father treated us to a private tasting of wines in the fermentation process. We were so enthralled by the experience and the wines that each couple bought several bottles, drove back to our lodging, and have been enjoying them ever since. Sincerely & with gratitude, the four of us

5 A fantastic winery experience – Nico is an exceptional ambassador! (Eyal)A fantastic winery experience – Nico is an exceptional ambassador! We visited the winery yesterday, and the experience was simply unforgettable. The historical tour of the site was fascinating, but what truly made the visit special was Nico. His service, courtesy, patience, and explanations were top-notch. Nico didn't just convey information; he shared a genuine passion for the place and gave us a broad, in-depth perspective on the world of wine in Puglia and the region as a whole. We had plenty of questions, and he dedicated significant time beyond the official tour to explain, elaborate, and answer everything with patience and a smile. There is no doubt that Nico is a true ambassador for the winery. The tour was fantastic and left us wanting more. Highly recommended for any wine lover!

5 Fabulous tour of this family run vineyard (Marika)We went to this vineyard as part of my daughter's 21st birthday celebrations, as we also wanted to visit Alberobello which is located about 7 minutes drive away. We enjoyed the tour around the organic vineyard in a golf buggy and the information provided on the variety of grapes grown, followed by a tour of the wine making process and the cellar. The wine tasting experience was wonderful as the four wines tasted were accompanied by cheeses and cured meats produced on the family's farm. All the staff were lovely too. We had a great time and bought a bottle of wine from the shop at the end of our visit. I would definitely recommend visiting and supporting this family run vineyard.

5 A very nice experience (Nico)Here’s a polished version that works well as a Google or TripAdvisor review: We had a wonderful guided tour yesterday with Marco. From the moment we arrived, his kind, welcoming and entertaining attitude made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Marco explained clearly and professionally how his wines are produced, giving us plenty of interesting information without getting too technical. It was fascinating to learn about the process while still keeping the tour accessible and enjoyable. The wine tasting was a real highlight, accompanied by some delicious snacks and bites that complemented the wines beautifully. His wines are full of flavour and character, and we enjoyed them so much that we ended up buying a couple of bottles of each variety! All in all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. We would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys good wine, great hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you, Marco!

5 Wonderful! (Jennifer)We could not have asked for a better wine tasting adventure. This is a very small winery with a small production and distribution. We loved the personal touch from the owner/winemaker. Wines were lovely as were the prepared appetizers to go with. Would happily go back.

5 We Almost Cried – It Was That Good (Karl)What an absolutely unforgettable wine tasting experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the rich history of the vineyard – it was fascinating and beautifully told. The owner was super professional yet so fun and down-to-earth. He made us feel completely at home and shared his passion in the most genuine way. The local food and vegetables were outstanding and perfectly paired with the most amazing wines. Every bite and every sip was pure harmony. It was so good I almost cried – honestly one of the most moving culinary experiences we’ve ever had. We are so thankful for this magical afternoon. Highly recommend to anyone who wants more than just a tasting – this is something truly special.

5 Lovely experience (Rachel)We had a wonderful time touring the vineyard with Marco. He was very friendly and spoke multiple languages; English quite well!! He was humble and knowledgeable. Their wines were fantastic and not too sweet which we loved. His wife prepares the food and the pairings were exceptional. Her focaccia with caramelized onions was out of this world-I’d actually love some right now!! Would definitely return and recommend to others. This was not your typical vineyard as their wines are organic, hand picked grapes with an at home feel.

5 Good family experience, great wines (Sylvia)We enjoyed a very thorough visit and explanation about how the wines are produced. (If you are not really into wines it can be even a little bit long). Come on an empty stomach - there is a lot of food - everything delicious. My favorite was the rosé! My husband and I shared the experience with our adult daughters and enjoyed it very much.

5 Beautiful place, beautiful people (Laurentiu)We had a wonderful time at Tenuta Santoro. Marco was a great host, engaging and with a sharp sense of humor. The food was very tasty (we had the Gurmand package for early dinner) and more than enough for a full meal. The wine was excellent and it worked really well with the food. To top it up, they have the cutest little dog we have ever seen. We loved the trip and the experience.

5 Amazing Experience (KIYOMI)What a lovely tour! The guide was amazing, funny, and the tasting was also a 10/10 - sadly we had to miss the last course as we had to leave to meet our property owner at our accommodations so be warned, don't bank on the suggested length of time (and not a bad thing, we wanted to stay as long as we could!). I myself don't drink wine but the food was great, my Mom who does love wine walked away with 5 bottles for the trip and to bring home, safe to say she was a fan!

5 Fabulous!! (Julia)Incredible experience at Rivale. Loved the tour of the grounds and trying all of the items they grow themselves (cherries, almonds, apricots etc). Lunch was a fantastic spread with a gorgeous table setup under the trees. Everyone had to take some samples back home. 10/10 experience and special shoutout to Deborah, Giacomo and Bruna, the animals who made the experience so much more fun.
