5 A wonderful afternoon . 5 WINE TASTING AT DOMINI SAN CALARE (Mikhail)First of all, this is not a typical wine tasting! It’s a tiny winery with a small room for guests, a gorgeous view from the window, and outdoor seating as well. Unfortunately, it was too chilly for us to sit outside when we visited. It was just my wife and me, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The woman who led the presentation (unfortunately, I can’t remember her name) was new to the job, but she did a fantastic job introducing the wines. And the wines themselves were excellent! To top it all off, she prepared quite a spread of seafood. Everything was exactly what you would expect in Puglia: wonderfully fresh, mostly crudo, and beautifully presented. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

5 Enjoyable Experience (Leonard)We had a wonderful time. The tour guide was very informative. We saw many aspects of wine making. We took the golf cart (which was a nice touch) to see the grapevines. And tasting of several different types of wine along with the food snacks were very enjoyable. Our tour consisted of 4 different couples who happened to be from different parts of the world which we found to be a nice way to share the tour.

From the moment we arrived, his kind, welcoming and entertaining attitude made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Marco explained clearly and professionally how his wines are produced, giving us plenty of interesting information without getting too technical. It was fascinating to learn about the process while still keeping the tour accessible and enjoyable. The wine tasting was a real highlight, accompanied by some delicious snacks and bites that complemented the wines beautifully. His wines are full of flavour and character, and we enjoyed them so much that we ended up buying a couple of bottles of each variety! All in all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. 5 Lovely experience (Rachel)We had a wonderful time touring the vineyard with Marco. He was very friendly and spoke multiple languages; English quite well!! He was humble and knowledgeable. Their wines were fantastic and not too sweet which we loved. His wife prepares the food and the pairings were exceptional. Her focaccia with caramelized onions was out of this world-I’d actually love some right now!! Would definitely return and recommend to others. This was not your typical vineyard as their wines are organic, hand picked grapes with an at home feel.

5 Beautiful place, beautiful people (Laurentiu)We had a wonderful time at Tenuta Santoro. Marco was a great host, engaging and with a sharp sense of humor. The food was very tasty (we had the Gurmand package for early dinner) and more than enough for a full meal. The wine was excellent and it worked really well with the food. To top it up, they have the cutest little dog we have ever seen. We loved the trip and the experience.

5 Winery Tour (Shankar)Excellent tour. The hostess, Miriam was very pleasant and extremely knowldgeable. Loved the atmosphere of the winery and learnt a lot of things about Primitivo wines and grapes that I didn't know. We were served with samples of White, Rose and Red wines at the end. My favourite was Mirea. Pity we couldn't take some bottels home - flight problems!!

5 Five stars for Marco, his dog Spank and the food (Fleming)My girlfriend and I visited for an evening wine tasting and had a wonderful time. Only two of us turned up, so we ended up with a private tour by happy accident. What a stroke of luck. The whole experience was extremely informative. Marco made the evening fantastic. He is genuinely funny and switches between several languages with ease (we booked the tour in English and surprised us when he started speaking fluent German). He clearly knows his wines and he explains everything in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. We chose the €45 option, which comes with snacks, and the food was brilliant. We asked for a few more cheese options and he accommodated us happily, no fuss at all. We can't recommend it enough. Five stars, and we would absolutely do it again. Grazie anchora, Marco!

5 Well recommended (Xinni)We were warmly welcomed by Chiara who had kindly reminded us about our booking beforehand and checked with us if we would want to continue should the weather be unfavorable. Fortunately on the actual day it was sunny. Chiara explained about the different wines and assisted us in choosing the wines we preferred. She also allowed us to choose other items for our picnic. We picked a rose, a red wine, a packet of tomato flavoured friselline, a jar of pickled zucchini, and a jar of red pepper pate. We were also given a packet of pucette (2x3 flavours). We only managed to finish the rose and the pucette, but they were delicious. We brought home the rest! Chiara was very friendly and had laid the picnic mat at a perfect spot to enjoy the view of the vineyard while being shielded from the sun. We had our own private space and it was atmospheric. A perfect way to slow down and enjoy Salento aperitif. It was a memorable 2 hours for us! With a car from Lecce, the journey was only 15 minutes from the city. But we felt like we were at the countryside, peaceful and scenic.

5 Wonderful experience at Cantina Petrelli (Yair)We were a group of 4 peoples. It was very windy and we could not sit outside. They welcomed us with a big smile and we decided to take the picnic inside. We have received explanation about the place and it's history. We received 4 bottles that we chosed and few very tasty local products. We took a self short tour outside and they were very cooperative, answered our questions and we enjoyed it very much. We could take home what we left after they packed it and we also bought few of their products. Bottom line, highly recomended. It was easy getting and finding the place. We enjoyed the place, the atmosphere and their service.

5 Spectacular wine tour and tasting! (Kimberly)Just a short cab ride from the port, this winery is well worth the visit. We had a personal tour from the owner as well as an intimate wine tasting with lots of local small bites! The truffle also and three hour old cheese were so delicious. Extremely good wines! Shipped home several bottles. The grounds also feature suite rentals. Stunning grounds, too!
