5 Amazing experience (Emily)From the moment we arrived at il Poggio, we were greeted by Francesca Poggio and her daughter Giorgia and it just got better by the minute. The two plus their wine maker were well spoken and extremely knowledgeable and it was very clear to see that they love what they do! Their wines were wonderful and as was the food. We had an enjoyable afternoon sitting amongst the vines. I would seriously recommend Il Poggio to anyone who loves Gavi wine.

5 Superb tour and tasting (Henry)We were the only couple on this tour with Giada (and Jack the dog). Had a very enjoyable time, learning about La Raia’s production processes and principles, followed by tasting and snacks to go with. A lovely setting too. Would highly recommend.

5 Great experience (Giovanni)I tasted three different wines, and I'm particularly drawn to Noah. This wine has a deep, intense red color that immediately evokes the idea of something rich and bold. On the nose, the aroma is soft and pleasant, like a caress: you sense the sweetness of ripe cherries mixed with a hint of spice, almost as if you were walking past a kitchen where delicious food is being prepared. It has a rich, enveloping flavor, with a lovely sensation of warmth. It's smooth but with a slight dry note (the tannins), which gives it structure without being too strong.

Adriano is kind amd welcoming, he explained in detail all the process that he follows to create his organic wines. 5 Giancarla what a star! (Mattias)We got a private tour and tasting by winemaker Giancarla. During the tour of the vineyard we learned a lot about managing the grapevines, how the decide where to plant what type and how to protect the grapes. We tasted several very good vines together with a nice cheese and salami plate, and even got to discuss their new labels (and yes, the Ladybug wine will be a success!). We felt really well looked after and left with a lot of bottles of our new favourites.

5 Excellent wines and beautiful surroundings (Mattias)The Amerio brothers gave us a wonderful experience with a lot of interesting information regarding making wine in their area and the process it self (the forest where the oak is grown makes a difference!), all set in really beautiful surroundings. We got the opportunity to taste 8 different well made wines paired with traditional dishes from Piedmont, and ended up buying 30 bottles (yes we really enjoyed them). We highly recommend a visit!
