5 Can’t Miss Wine Tasting! (Lisa)What an absolutely wonderful experience! This charming little winery, just a half-hour drive from Florence, was one of the highlights of our time in Tuscany. The wine, olive oil, and fresh bread were all incredible, and the hospitality was truly exceptional. Francesca was so warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. She was warm, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the entire experience both informative and enjoyable. And if you want to hear the fascinating story of Paolo, a cardiologist turned contractor turned vineyard owner, you’re in for a treat! His journey is as interesting as the winery itself, and learning the history behind it made our visit even more special. Everything about our experience felt authentic, personal, and memorable. It’s the kind of place that makes you fall in love with Tuscany even more. If you’re visiting Florence, this little gem is absolutely worth the short drive into the countryside. We couldn’t recommend it more!

The food was amazing and mostly all from their own garden. We were super well taken care of by the ladies and the family of dogs and a pig hehe. Such a magical and enjoyable day. Highly recommend

5 Wonderful tour and lunch (Nirmala)I booked the tour on a whim and was a little unsure about what to expect - but the experience was more than worth it. Started with a tour of the former abbey -- which was just that something extra about this experience to distinguish it from all the other winetastings in the region -- followed by tour of the winemaking facilities and a BEAUTIFUL lunch on the terrace with local cold cuts, cheeses, bruschetta, a warm dish, and of course, wine :) Our hostess, Adriana, was lovely and definitely went out of her way to make us feel welcome and looked after. Would definitely recommend!

The flow of the tour was perfect - he was funny, informative, and kept everything lively! The wine was AMAZING. I ended up shipping 6 bottles home to the US and couldn’t help buying up the olive oil. Dining inside the castle walls was quite the experience! One of my sister and my favorite parts of our trip to Italy.

5 Wonderful experience (Donghee)Mirko received us with a warmth and hospitality. He wanted to make sure we had no allergies or food intolerances so we wouldn’t get sick. Then we both got a big plate of cured meats, cheeses, bruschetta and olive oil and the tasting began. The explanation of the wines was that of a man who is passionate about his work and his products. And for each glass we got the time to taste is in combination with our food. After the tasting, Mirko showed us around his farm, explaining the processes of winemaking and olive making. We were very lucky to have a private experience, since there were no other bookings for this date and time. Mirko didn’t rush himself through the experience, but let us relax and answered all our questions. And of course, we bought some wine and olive oil to bring home. It is delicious. We warmly recommend Mirko’s Poggi del Chianti winery for a true Tuscan tasting experience.

5 A wonderful experience at Poggio Amorelli! (Sasa)The winery is set in a beautiful Tuscan landscape, surrounded by vineyards and the rolling hills of Chianti. The scenery and atmosphere alone make the visit worthwhile. The tasting was very well organized, relaxed and enjoyable, with no sense of being rushed or overly formal. The wines were very good, and we especially appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the local grape varieties, the winemaking process, and the character of the wines from this region. The staff were friendly, professional, and very welcoming. It is a perfect place for a break between Siena and San Gimignano, and a genuine little piece of Tuscany, exactly as you imagine it before coming here. We would gladly visit again. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The tour itself was quite short, but the wine tasting lasted much longer than we expected, and we got to try more wines than originally announced. The family was incredibly attentive and shared lots of interesting insights about the wines and the winemaking process. They also served delicious snacks and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the vineyard at our own pace. Highly recommended!

5 Outstanding (Edgar)The winery is located in a beautiful area and hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. Our tour guide, “Bene” (Benedetta) was excellent, answering questions and providing information about the history and traditions of the winery. She took us on a short walk to the family chapel where she gave us even more details about the founder’s history and about the different types of grapes grown in the area and the wines produced in San Giorgio a Lapi. The setting for the wine tasting and lunch is beautiful, under this giant mulberry tree that provides ample shade and lets the Tuscan breeze cool the whole place. Lunch was fabulous with strawberry gazpacho, pasta with cherry tomatoes (mind you, I’m not a pasta person) and pork so tender that you could almost cut it with a fork; this we enjoyed along with the wines produced at the winery, which were very very tasty. The whole experience was one the best ones we’ve had in this trip. Thanks to all the kitchen staff and in particular to Bene, our wonderful tour guide. Grazie e arrivederci !!!
